He didn't develop in a few days. Where'd you get the idea that he did? Redundant, sure, but in character. Also, it takes time for people to actually change. They usually have the same bad habits for years because change is difficult. The problem with this is that Vegeta already got overconfident in the arc when he faced 18 This was perfectly in character he quickly paid the price for a mistake that he made of underestimating his opponent and overestimating himself . However once he faces Cell he actually makes the exact same mistake, this makes him seem like he learned nothing form his past actions and it makes it feel like Vegeta lost any character development he might have gotten in between his fight between 18 and Cell. It only makes him look dumb and this felt forced because it already happened once in the exact same arc a couple of chapters ago no less. There could have been literally thousands of other ways and better to make Cell perfect. I mean it seems so redundant to use the exact same plot device again.

I'm still not that big a fan of Chris Sabat's Yamcha. In my opinion, it still can't compare to Tōru Furuya's rendition of the character. It's a great voice though.

I don't think that's much of an unpopular opinion on here, especially when compared to Furuya's take.Bansho64 wrote:I'm still not that big a fan of Chris Sabat's Yamcha. In my opinion, it still can't compare to Tōru Furuya's rendition of the character. It's a great voice though.

Well, that's good. I've been seeing recent comments off site about people saying that he was "bland" or "unmemorable".Lunatic Fringe wrote: I don't think that's much of an unpopular opinion on here, especially when compared to Furuya's take.

Oh, and, "Z" no Chikai is my second-favorite movie ending theme, after Flow's Cha-La Head-Cha-La. Though it's getting up there.

I hate Flows version of Cha la head cha la.
The Last Jedi is a terrible movie
Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I'm actually on this boat as well. Though, I personally don't hate it. I'm more between indifferent and just plain disliking it. For me, you just can't top Kageyama's exciting, powerful, and electrifying voice. The Patrolman wrote:I hate Flows version of Cha la head cha la.

To be honest, while I do like Mr. Kageyama's version, it lacks the impact that Flow gives me. In other words, quite the contrary.

I'm personally conflicted about why I don't like it. It's funny too because I'm simply in love with a bunch of their out other songs, but I'm not particularly fond of this one.
I don't know, it feels soulless to me. It doesn't get me as pumped or give me that warm feeling that Kageyama's voice does. I'll give it another listen though because I'm honestly trying to like it.

Characters do not need to develop for me to care about them.
Characters not developing is not a bad thing.
Characters do not have to develop in every single arc/bunch of episodes.

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
It's fine if you're able to stay interested in characters that don't change, but that's not the standard. In a narrative-driven structure, characters not developing is definitely a bad thing. For me, and most others who don't want to be in this solely for the member-berries, watching more of the same characters seemingly frozen in time isn't satisfying. In fact, Goku growing up, going through many changes in personality and styles, along with him literally growing taller, is what made me fall in love with Dragon Ball, among other cartoons to begin with. I don't lie when I say that having him stuck the way he is now hurts me a little bit.Neo-Makaiōshin wrote:Characters do not need to develop for me to care about them.

Unpopular Opinion #1: I hear many people say that, besides the Japanese version, Vic Mignogna's version of Dragon Soul is the best. That is my personal favorite, I loved it growing up, but I think that the Brazilian version comes pretty close too. In my opinion, it doesn't get enough mentions.
Unpopular Opinion #2: Vic Mignogna is my all time favorite DB voice actor. I might even call him my favorite English VA at the moment. He seems like such a nice and fun-loving guy and I'd love to meet the guy one day.

Yes. The mixing and overall output of the song is typical modern pop drivel. It's really awful. The Patrolman wrote:I hate Flows version of Cha la head cha la.
The original has an amazing punch to it and has that unique 80s sound mixing charm.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada
Re: Unpopular DB opinions
Piccolo is the most boring Z fighter. I don't like his design either (the antennas and color scheme ruin it).I would say Chiatzou is but he shouldn't even count haha. I don't hate him and wouldn't mind if he became more relevant rough.

Well, of course he is the most boring. Sure, there's Tenshinhan but he had that SHIN KIKOHO moment LOL.
Also why is he in your avi if you feel that way.

He doesn't actually change in personality. He's the same from beginning to end. At most, I'd say he gets a little less naïve.In fact, Goku growing up, going through many changes in personality and styles
I agree in part with both of you guys about change, but it depends on the character. I think it would be wrong if Scully remained a skeptic from beginning to end, but Goku staying a battle maniac from beginning to end or Monk always having OCD until the very end works fine. I don't think there's any hard and fast rule about when a character should or should not change or if they even should. Case in point, James Bond. He's more or less the same guy in every film and I'll always be at the theaters opening weekend to see 007.

I'm not a fan of the food jokes, gags, or any jokes between the Gods in Super. I know many get a kick out of the stuff with Beerus and Champa but it doesn't do anything for me.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I mentioned this in another thread, none of Dragon Ball's jokes are funny at all to me. Like I said in another thread, I never laugh and I rarely ever smile at them.
