Who would have been most likely to volunteer as Buu's replacement in the U6 VS U7 tournament?

Let's say Beerus actually allowed someone from Universe 7's audience to volunteer to replace Buu, who do you think, in-character would have been the most likely one to volunteer?

Whoever you think it would be, would fight Frost before Piccolo would have.

Kid Gohan. They'd need to do a little bit of taboo time traveling, but he'd show up and clock everyone after 1 month (i.e. a few hours) of training with Whis.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

Champa likely wouldn't allow replacements. Universe 7 created the testing stipulation, so it's their mistake to make. He would immediately challenge Beerus and the ruling would stand for Boo's failure to count as a loss. For the sake of the thread, Tenshinhan might be selected. I don't think he would mind testing himself for the sake of learning something new. I believe he's already accepting of his placement in comparison to others. Yamcha doesn't seem to strive for competition anymore. At least, he doesn't seem interested in testing his mettle against the caliber of Champa's participants. There's no prize money to be collected, so No. 18, and by extension Kuririn, wouldn't participate. They make their decisions together. Turtle Hermit can only handle weakened soldiers from Freeza's army at his current best. Gyumao hasn't surpassed his teacher, as far as I'm aware. Goten or Trunks would be acceptable choices, but Vegeta made it clear that they're not allowed to fuse. He suggested that they train instead and the result is that they never heeded his advice. They both have much to learn when it comes to fighting against veterans and have trouble with the basics if their confidence is shaken (as portrayed in the Avo and Cado battle). Goten against Botamo would have been amusing, I think. Tenshinhan is my answer, just to reiterate. I'd like to see him try Frost's initial strength.

That would be cool to see happen. Gohan vs. Cabba would be interesting and having Cabba transform into a Super Saiyan against Gohan has "awesome" written all over it!

Arale. I can just imagine Toriyama pulling something like that off.
