Hmm. This is very intriguing. I did have theory that Goku Black being a mortal and Zamasu's being immortal may be reason as the way Merged Zamasu weakening.
Black and Zamasu talking about the irony of using a mortal to complete their plan might have been foreshadowing. If that's the case, I can't wait to see the face the smug bastard will do when he finds out.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Maybe because he already fused once before in the Buu arc that he can't fuse again permanently? I'm sure the Potara fusion wasn't meant to be used over and over again by the same two individuals. Or maybe it won't last as long...this is interesting. Maybe they won't need the Dragonballs to defuse?

Didn't Elder Kai mention that Vegetto's level of raw power could make anything beyond Super Saiyan 1 potentially dangerous for his body? My memory of it is fuzzy though. I think he was either advising Goku not to do it when he gave him the earrings or rebuking Kibito Kai cheering for Vegetto to power up even higher.

He said Goku and Gohan should not fuse while being Super Saiyajin as it would cost too much energy. Which is also why I always hated it whenever people claimed Gohan cannot turn SSJ.

If Vegito has a weakness and trunks "shines", then I hope Trunks finishes off Zamasu and saves his future like I wanted. I guess it won't be him just beating Black but this would be a close second I suppose.

So Fused Zamasu's weakness is coming from Black (which we all had pretty much predicted one way or another), its either because one is of the mortal realm and one is a god or because Black was SSR at the time of the fusion.
I have no idea what Vegito's weakness could be, it shouldn't be the fact that he's SSB since the form is all about ki control, even Gogeta's time limit should not be affected by it in theory.
