I don't think Freeza was the main villain in the beginning of the Androids/Cell arc though. He was there to prove how powerful Future Trunks was and to prove that there's another SSJ around. If anything, he qualifies as a minor villain in that arc imo.

So great! I especially like the Zamasu's right side of his face starts to slide. It's not as overt as when he cuts Frieza, but it's still awesome.

But he was still the main villain at that time as the Androids or Cell hadn't debuted yet.

Funny how the blade seems to be meticulously following the curvature of Zamasu's gelatinous regenerative bio-material. Do everything you can to leave his beautiful half undamaged before it inevitably falls apart right afterwards. No blood, either. Instead we're shown this sparkly multi-coloured liquid that's presumably supposed to represent blood except in a PG format.

If Zamasu were smart, he would use his materialisation sorcery to recreate the half of his body that was rendered hideous. Such a task should be accomplishable when Kami was reconstructing Chinese vampire bodies that happen to be stronger than himself far back in the Saiyan arc.
