Actually Merged Zamasu should have been one-shot material for SSJB Vegetto..
Why do i say this?
Well take a look, Goku alone.. BY HIMSELF was so ridiculously powerful that he actually WON from Merged Zamasu in a beam struggle.. Now if THAT Goku.. Who was THAT stupidly powerful.. Fused with Vegeta using the Potara Earrings, than his power should have been merged and multiplied many times over with Vegeta's through the Potara Earrings.. And Merged Zamasu should have been one-shot material, but sadly this was not the case due to Super's horrendous powerscaling issues and inconsistencies.
Not to mention Goku took a senzu bean afterwards and so did Vegeta who both got beaten up pretty bad, so after the senzu beans they should be even stronger!
But SSJ Blue Vegetto's power was made really unimpressive.. Yes he was beating Zamasu and got the best of him, but not really by all that much.

You can easily say that merged Zamasu was holding back, because he felt like using his full power against such weaklings was an insult. He did lose the beam struggle against Trunks and Vegeta and he didn't even have a scratch on him. Goku won the beam struggle, but he was using his full power, whilst Zamasu was fueling his blast with only two fingers. After getting half his face blown off, he stood there in awe and didn't react to Goku's barrage right after that, and when Goku used the Kaioken x10, he was taken by surprise. Not to mention that Zamasu got even stronger after that.

Probably but then that would have been incredibly lame and boring wouldn't it? People would rather have had the entertaining fight that we had than for a repeat of Semi Perfect Cell vs Android 16 where he punches him and it's over.
I'd rather have the power scaling mess than something like that.

In other words, you'd rather have Future Trunks get a BS power-up and defeat Merged Zamasu and Vegito softening him up for 10 minutes rather than Vegito finishing off Zamasu. Of course. that would make too much sense, power scaling wise.Bullza wrote:Probably but then that would have been incredibly lame and boring wouldn't it? But it makes no sense for him to hold back after what happened last weeks episode with both Trunks and Vegeta winning the beam struggle. And when he was trying to hold back Goku's kamehameha, he should have felt how much resistance he got and how much he had to struggle. You don't just hold back when you know you're going to lose that way..Doctor. wrote:You can easily say that merged Zamasu was holding back, because he felt like using his full power against such weaklings was an insult. And there was no mention of Goku using Kaioken x10. So that means he used regular Kaioken. (A.K.A x2)

I would much rather Trunks, one of the main characters of the saga and who the saga is named after be the one to save his own world as he had vowed to do than the one dimensional Vegito who had absolutely no influence at all in the story up till that point in any way show up in the last few minutes to steal all the glory away from the main characters who had gone through hell and huge yes.gofishus wrote:In other words, you'd rather have Future Trunks get a BS power-up and defeat Merged Zamasu and Vegito softening him up for 10 minutes rather than Vegito finishing off Zamasu. What's good for the story > Power levels
Thankfully Toriyama also probably realized this back in the day and is why Vegito didn't defeat Buu but Goku did with help from those on Earth.

Kaioken x2 and x10 are different. Goku's skin is different when he uses x10.GodVegetto91 wrote:But it makes no sense for him to hold back after what happened last weeks episode with both Trunks and Vegeta winning the beam struggle. The issue there in the first place was Goku getting those hits on fused Zamasu. Just two episodes ago, Goku was having power clashes with Zamasu by himself, and it was stated that the times Goku kicked him around it was just because Zamasu didn't even bother with defenses due to his immortality. So, Zamasu fusing with Black, who was stronger than Goku, really shouldn't have been touched by Goku at all. Vegetto vs Zamasu made sense, what didn't make sense was Goku vs fused Zamasu.GodVegetto91 wrote:Why do i say this?

Some might think I'm dumb for saying this, but in short, yes.gofishus wrote:In other words, you'd rather have Future Trunks get a BS power-up and defeat Merged Zamasu and Vegito softening him up for 10 minutes rather than Vegito finishing off Zamasu. I'd much rather have Fun and exciting "nonsense" than "Logical" boredom, for lack of a better way of putting it.
How much fun would it have been if Vegito just appeared and one shotted Zamasu? He would have been there for even less time than he had.
