I've never even heard of that term.

A Gary Stu is just a male Mary Sue.
So he's referring to the Trunks in Episode 66 with the asspull Spirit Bomb ability and all.

Did a quick google search on the term and Future Trunks is nothing like a Gary Stu. I mean, if we're gonna start labelling character as a "Gary Stu" for pull techniques out of their ass, then a good chunk of the cast are Gary Stu's.

I think part of the reason why Trunks is considered a Gary Stu by some is that, in addition to his out-of nowhere power-ups, he doesn't really have any personality defects like Goku's stupidity or Vegeta's arrogance or Gohan's meekness to get him into trouble.

Goku's SS3 was sort of an asspull, but at least it had the explanation that he achieved it through training in the afterlife, and the form didn't really accomplish much in the end. Vegeta's rage boost, while admittedly out of nowhere, didn't do much besides catch Beerus off guard. Piccolo recombining with Kami was a plot point that was foreshadowed all the way back in the Freeza arc, when the Grand Elder berated him for splitting himself and his power in the first place. Gotenks is admittedly full of random abilities that pop up out of nowhere, but again, that is tempered by his character being comprised by nothing but personality defects, and the fact that he had to do a little training to develop them.

Trunks spontaneously developing a pseudo-Super Saiyan Blue form through anger and then spontaneously learning the Genki Dama and absorbing its power and turning it into a sword literally come out of nowhere with no form of foreshadowing what-so-ever.

- Forgot about Vegeta in BoG, because that was the start of everything

- Super Saiyan 3 was a transformation that he had no pratice yet, he was mainly counting with Fusion, Goku in this arc was dead and had the mentality that the warriors alive should take responsability to protect the Planet, but he had to buy some time for Trunks pick up the Dragon Radar. Some could still find this to be BS by their POV, I respect that, I don't see much as is still excusable with 7 years training in the Other World.

- It had a whole story behind it, it didn't came out of nowhere. After Daimao Arc was told once that Piccolo and Kami were the same being and regarded later by Namek Guru that once merged they could be pretty strong and that without considering Piccolo would sync with Nail (the strongest namekian warrior at time) that gave him a huge boost and after being one with Kami again, I don't see a problem for him to be stronger than the SSJ, after all he would still lose if the androids decided to team up

- I always thought that the hole through dimensions could be something tied between them because they are around the same level, what's the problem with Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, though? It's a silly technique created by the fusion of two kids that trained a while in the RoSaT

...didn't really accomplish much in the end.

That's the key word! My main problem with Trunks is that his power-ups, new form and "Spirit Bomb Blade" had accomplished much for him in the course of the arc.

I can almost guarantee there are more than eight teenagers (counting your brother) on here. They probably just didn't put their birthdates into their profiles.
As for the battle royale itself, who knows? I can last pretty long in one-on-ones since I'm agile, so I'm able to dodge a lot, but in terms of actual strength, I'm probably only average for a girl and would get wrecked pretty quickly if anyone on this list goes to the gym.

- Well, we all know that Gohan is a lightweight, so he's out.
- Goku probably has no experience drinking.
- Vegeta doesn't strike me as much of a drinker, either. Maybe it would help him relax?
- A super dedicated martial artist like Tenshinhan probably avoids alcohol all together.
- Beerus strikes me as a fine wine kinda guy, but somehow I doubt he'd be a heavy drinker. Then again, if poison doesn't work on him, maybe he has a high tolerance for alcohol, too.
- No idea about No. 18.
- Yajirobe seems like the kinda guy who would indulge once in a while, but I doubt Karin keeps beer stocked up.
- Bulma and Mr. Satan definitely enjoy drinking, but I'd say that 300 year old Muten Roshi has 'em all beat. The guy turned drunken stumbling into a potent martial arts discipline, so I would assume that he's got more than a little experience.

All in all, I'd say that Muten Roshi likely wins the contest.

Yajirobe pukes out.

Goku and vegeta decide to not give up despite already being full, due to rivalry. However, they are caught (by bulma) cheating by throwing the drinks under the table.

#18 gives up.

Bulma and Beerus are the last 2 remaining. They drink at high speed, continue till they clear all the drinks available in the city. Goku goes to teleport some shops in.
Eventually, even bulma falls down. THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION reigns supreme. Beerus lays on his chair, stretching his arms, while suddenly, a crack is heard and a tear is observed in the skin of purple god.
Vegeta, observing that, realizes that it is a costume, not the real beerus and tears it apart, revealing this guy:
