How would you feel about King Cold coming back instead of Frieza?

After all, the guy was in the same league as Final Form Frieza in what appeared to be his second form, and the limits of his power are far more ambiguous than Frieza's, so I imagine it'd be far easier to stomach him becoming so absurdly strong in a few months.

I'm not sure I'd feel much of anything. He had a very short time in the story and his only purpose was to show how strong Trunks was (and thus how much more dangerous the coming threat was.) Certainly from a box office perspective if I was putting a film out and expecting the villain to draw money I wouldn't have the guy who ,at best, had a cup of coffee in the story as my headliner.

If I were to work him into the existing movie I would have maintained the basic framework that already exists, but have him brought back along with Freeza. His presence would have enabled Vegeta to do something more than stand around impatiently.

I don't think they should touch Freeza's family or race at all ever again. They had golden opportunity to dive into the lore of his race and the history of his family with Resurrection F but didn't bother, and then we got Frost who was major disappointment of a character.
