What do you see in the future of Dragonball?
Ew. X-Men 3 was ruined. Stupid Brett Ratner =_=.
Anywho..back on topic. I definitely see one more special with the established characters. Although the chances are slim, a condensed version of the entire Dragonball series could be released in the future, afterall isn't that what they did with Fist of The North Star?

Let me clarify. X Men III isnt the "WORST MOVIE EV4R LOLZ" However it's farrrr from the faithful adaptations of the first two films in the series. (I know even those arent page for page but anyone expecting THAT will NEVER be happy with any adaptation).caejones wrote:<-- Awwe, I thought X-Men III was pretty well done considering what all they had to cover. Good adaptation, I don't know... good movie though, that's a maybe. -->
I've been pretty well convinced that the live action movie is just... up in the air... and we won't know until it actually happens if it ever will.
As for new animation... Recall Goku's guest appearance as a commentator in a certain tournament... I'd not be surprised if something, even if it isn't much, happened in the near future. Mayhaps Neko Majin OVA?
That and ... demand makes things happen. XD
As for the Neko Majin OVA idea, PLEASE God, please. I promise I'll start going back to church.

Well, considering how well the other franchises such as "GUNDAM Seed" have done, would it really come as such as surprise to release an anniversary movie or something similar using a new animation crew?
Developing a "new" look to DBZ already been proven with the introduction to Budokai 3. Just imagine a full-length 5.1 wide screen 90 minute movie with a new villan or showing some wha -if fusions or something similar.
It could happen.

What I would hope to see is something similar to the 10th anniversary DB movie. Y'know, the one that's kind of like a condenced version of the first half of Dragonball?
I'd like to see a trilogy of movies like that for DBZ. Maybe a Saiyan/Frieza movie, an Androids/Cell movie, and then a Buu movie. I would stretch it out more but asking for three movies is already unrealistic. At most I would expect to see a Saiyan/Frieza one.
They could all be done in the same animation as the Budokai 3 opening and hopefully when brought to the US since it would be new there wouldn't need to be any "REMASTERDINGZ LOL" or anything. If they were actual theater-released movies then FUNi wouldn't have to take the time to fuck them over into "ZOMG WIDESCREEN" (unless they would just take a Widescreen movie and make it "Super Widescreen" by cropping off even more footage).

What I see :
DB Online releases, the MMORPG revives almost 20-40% of the DBZ fanbase lost during the past one decade. At the same time a new DBZ game releases on the PS3. DBZ is everywhere to be found in the gaming platforms.
Soon after that, the chances of a CGI movie happening are very high. Now if the MMORPG released actually is good, and if Toriyama has brought in a lot of new elements to the story, we could even have a new series on the way.
But its all what I think. In any case, I'm going to enjoy those games.

I'd like to see movies like Path to Power being made again especially with the Saiyan saga. Instead of an OVA, it'd be cool to see the story re-told that way in the near future.
I'd want Toriyama to redraw DragonBall again and for Viz to release it unaltered as well as some daizenshuu or something. Eh, not much else. Even though these are unlikely, I'd be really cool to see. I don't want Toriyama to stop anytime soon, despite his wishes lol I have some plans that deal with that man...

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

I thought for sure that with the 20th anniversery that there would be one more special. There's an anniversery special for Dragonball, I think, but not one for Z. (Correct me if I'm wrong).Snail wrote: Anywho..back on topic. I definitely see one more special with the established characters. We could always clone Toriyama.
You usually tend to celebrate 25 years more than 20 as a landmark event. Plus the 25th anniversary of the manga is in 2 years. Maybe Toriyama has something small planned for 2009.Magica wrote:I thought for sure that with the 20th anniversery that there would be one more special.
