The real question is why he has not stepped up against Black and Zamasu. It makes little sense to me, as they've effectively killed all hakaishin.

I think the fact that he's confused when Goku calls him shows that he doesn't know what the hell is going on. Maybe he was having his nap time since Goku never showed up in that timeline.

We don't know that, he got sliced in half and still came back. Who's to say blowing up a few of his faces would stop him when he'd already infected the universe? Erasing everything was probably the only way to stop him.

That's just an assumption. To me, it looked like his spirit leaked away due to being in a state between mortality and immortality. Probably goku & co could've stopped him before he filled the universe, but after that, it would be much harder.

That's just an assumption. To me, it looked like his spirit leaked away due to being in a state between mortality and immortality. Probably goku & co could've stopped him before he filled the universe, but after that, it would be much harder.

Perhaps his physical form can be destroyed due to his mortal half (Black) but his soul would most likely continue to persist no matter what due to his immortal half, without Zeno he'd have invaded the other timelines too.

Goku was just being overly optimistic. I doubt he and Vegeta could have done anything, no matter how many senzus they had.
