I don't like his current style. The characters are too slim and long-legged. Not only that, but the face is too unapelling to me. There's something I don't quite like on the face and the eyes...
The hair on the other hand is always amazing. From the Dragon Quest characters to the SSR and the SSB.

One of the reasons Trunks looks so underwhelming is because his anime design is a literal copy-paste version of Toriyama's design.

Hit doesn't have a new form in the series. The new "transformation" in XV2 is just Hit when he increased his power during the tournament fight.

Haven't seen it on this forum, this looks like Akira Toriyama's character design for Black Super Saiyan Rose, do you know what's written on it?

Nothing special, just notes how similar it is to Goku's SSJ style but is a different color.

Did Toriyama ever make a design for Future Mai, or do we only have Yamamuro's design for her?

I still wish we saw Future Mr. Satan and Future Videl. It would be cool to see what those characters where like since they never met Gohan, Goku and the others.

Oh, yeah! I've been wondering how things worked out for them, since Goku and Gohan (and Cell, by extension) no longer existed in this timeline. Though my headcanon is that if the Androids didn't kill them, Black CERTAINLY did. As in, he killed Future Hercule AND Future Videl and just about everyone living in Satan City PRIOR to Zamasu's Genocide Rain attack we see in episode 67.

They said all of the Mortals and Dragon Balls are gone in Trunks timeline. Goku Black probably destroy it off screen.

The episode will center on an event called the "World Invention Award," which honors the best innovations in the world. The greatest scientists, including Bulma, gather for the ceremony. Goku is working part-time as a security guard in the event, and Satan is presenting the award. The award goes to Senbei Norimaki of Penguin Town. As Norimaki is presenting his invention, Dr. Mashirito attacks. Frustrated that he was not invited to the ceremony, he interrupts the proceedings, and for some reason Arale and Gatchan are at his side.

Super is so perfect in slice of life episodes. This episode will be just another one to add in that list. 100% hyped!

I like modern Toriyama's style as well, maybe its because in my head its his work so anything he does is perfect when it comes to DB.

The lower kana is just "Goku Black."

For some strange reason, I'm not really hyped for the next episode. I guess it's because I'm still pretty overwhelmed and crushed by the Future Trunks arc ending.
