Xenoverse 2 goes down with Pirate Warriors as one of their worst playthroughs for me, it sucks the entertainment out of the playthrough when it seem obvious that the LPers themselves aren't having any fun.

And I agree with most of their rant (Previous CaC should of been there), but a lot of it was fuelled by their own headcannon (Another thing I wasn't really a fan of during the playthroughs of either)

Yeah, I liked it, especially the streams, but I think it was a bit of a let down compared to (before part 46 or so) Xenoverse 1, which is up there with Dead rising by GG and the Crash games by SGB as my favorite LP's of all time. That being said, I still enjoyed it.

To be fair, at least it wasn't Pirate Warrior levels, where the playthrough was outright frustrating.

One thing that I'm not really liking about the current DBZ Game playthroughs is that the "breaking the physical game" thing doesn't seem to have any significance. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if they wind up destroying Xenoverse 2, just based on the games they've destroyed so far

I dunno. I mean, they (especially Lani) have their misgivings with Xenoverse 2, but I highly doubt any of them consider it anywhere near in the same league of awful that Evolution, Sagas, or Taiketsu are.

Then again, I would put Taiketsu as easily the worst game period. When I saw they were starting to play that one, I knew how it was gonna go.

I wouldn't say Taiketsu, Sagas, or Evolution are in the same tier of badness as each other

It is funny they ended up spending a lot of Sagas talking about the things they surprisingly liked, whereas they spent most of Xenoverse 2 talking about the things they hated.

I guess it's all about expectations.

I guess it's all about expectations.

That's the impression I get anyway, yeah. They seemed to constantly express how they were surprised by how much fun they were having with Sagas, since they all remembered it to be a bad game. And it still was, but get a group of like-minded friends around, and even something 'bad' can be a lot of fun. Hell, it can often times be more fun than something good.

That and I think Lani especially really wanted Xenoverse 2 to improve even more on what the first game did than it did. Hopefully not putting words in his mouth, but that's what I took away from his various commentary on the game in the videos.

I enjoyed XV2 more than 1, but I think that's partly because I did a better job allocating my points this time around. I recall 1 being so difficult, but then I went back the other day and saw I'd poured most of my points into health of all things where with XV2 I put it almost all into basic attacks and ki supers.

That's before Kaiser's hard drive blew up. Everything was delayed because of that.
