You mean the arc where they brought back Trunks and magically inflated his power to Super Saiyan Blue levels completely out of nowhere? That was definitely new stuff.sangofe wrote:Please, don't. After bringing Freeza back, I don't want them to bring back any characters! I want new stuff like the Champa Arc and the Trunks arcs!

Super Saiyan Blue is not a creative color.
DBZ Movie 3 told a stronger and more believable "Evil Goku" story in 60 minutes than Dragon Ball Super has in 20 episodes. And it did it with better visuals and score.

I hate to agree, but I don't see how Raditz could bring anything meaningful to the story, no matter how cool he looks.kinisking wrote:I don't really understand why people want him back. If he was the one to live instead of Vegeta he would probably have had the exact same character arc. He's not really that unique compared to Vegeta. Bring back Nappa!
Nappa, on the other hand (as much as I loathe him in Z) brings something different to the table. Even reformed, he would always be the jerk ready to pick a fight, pushing everyone to their limits. Like Guy Gardner in the JL, or Heatwave in Legends of Tomorrow.
Now, a story in were both of them get resurrected -maintaining their original power levels- and have to comply with the main cast and lead a regular life (getting a job, dating women...) has great potential for "funny filler".

Haha that funny filler idea is great.Majin Jator wrote:I hate to agree, but I don't see how Raditz could bring anything meaningful to the story, no matter how cool he looks.kinisking wrote:I don't really understand why people want him back. Nappa also has a pretty distinct look compared to Raditz. We don't have any good guy with his body type.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Wait, so is Trunks a new character/stuff? I'm pretty sure I have seen him before.sangofe wrote:I don't want them to bring back any characters! I want new stuff like the Champa Arc and the Trunks arcs!

Anyway, if Freeza and Future Trunks got their chance to shine once again, so can other ones too, and ones that truly need to come back.
Re: Bring back raditz
The whole premise and idea and feel of the Trunks arc is completely different than what's been before. And that was another form than Blue, I think. But that's not what's being discussed here.Fishman wrote:You mean the arc where they brought back Trunks and magically inflated his power to Super Saiyan Blue levels completely out of nowhere? No, he's not a new character but you know very well what I meant. And honestly, nothing felt "old" about that arc. I want the focus to be 110% on new characters from now on. Make them go to Planet Sadla! Make them encounter new enemies! Whatever, but make it new!

I want Trunks to have an uncle Nappa. That'd be pretty fantastic. I'd kinda want him to be like Kazuma Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho personality-wise.kinisking wrote:Haha that funny filler idea is great.Majin Jator wrote:I hate to agree, but I don't see how Raditz could bring anything meaningful to the story, no matter how cool he looks.kinisking wrote:I don't really understand why people want him back. I wouldn't mind Raditz either though. Or Bardock, or Gine. I pretty much just think it would be cool to have Goku interact with his family.

This idea seems great, nappa brought back, his personality will bring many things to the table..TekTheNinja wrote:I want Trunks to have an uncle Nappa. That'd be pretty fantastic. A guy ready to pick a fight and Saiyan pride filled in him.. vegeta used to fill that role but...
Vegeta has pretty much given up on that role now , he seems to have calmed down so much, he dosent even feel himself anymore..
Call it character development, but I find Toyotaros depiction of Vegeta better..

I dunno. In the manga Vegeta often just comes off as an annoying asshat, which is incredibly unfitting of current Vegeta.Ki Breaker wrote:Call it character development, but I find Toyotaros depiction of Vegeta better..

I find a non arrogant vegeta unfit..That is the Vegeta personalty which made him loveable to many..TekTheNinja wrote:I dunno. Manga nails it.. Vegeta having character development is fine, but he should continue to be an asshole with anyone who is not his family or friend..
That's the correct Vegeta to me, it is obviously debatable as everyone likes a character differently

Lol I need to re read the manga apparently. I thought Vegeta was nicer in the manga? He still has his douchebag moments in the anime. He still talks trash to Kakarot and even yelled at FT for running away.Ki Breaker wrote:I find a non arrogant vegeta unfit..That is the Vegeta personalty which made him loveable to many..TekTheNinja wrote:I dunno. Re: Bring back raditz
The only time I could see one bringing back Raditz is if Nappa came back with him but turning them SSJ God/Blue or any other God scale power up wouldn't make sense to me. I don't think Toei would want to tackle any kind of Raditz Super Saiyan form because of his already long hair. If they came back, it'd just be to make amends with the cast and probably be "Stick arounds" or side viewers.
