As for feats people forget that Buuhan and Super Vegetto in Z (of which GT is continuation) were already at universal destruction level.

I'm pretty sure that Buuhan feat was by chain reaction and not outright universal.

Buuhan’s universal destruction could have been due to “chain reaction” but Super Vegetto faced the result of that universal "chain reaction" and stopped the universe from being crashed by other dimensions. That is universal level or at least close to. Also how do you know that the universal crumbling we saw in ep. 12 was not a result of a similar effect? These shockwaves could had been the oscillation of membranes of parallel universes/dimensions resonating with Goku's/Beerus' punches for example. It wasn't a proper wiping out of everything in the universe with an omnidirectional blast kind of feat like Zeno's.

Also ever since ep.12 when universal destruction is brought up Goku and Vegeta always look in awe. For example when there were told that Champa and Beerus fighting would annihilate the entire Universe 6 and 7 or that the Omni King was able to wipe out universes. Not only this but Champa’s/Beerus’ level is constantly retconned to be much higher than was originally presented to be relative to SSG. They are now supposed to be higher not only than SSJB KKx10 Goku but most likely SSJB Vegetto too. Which would mean that if they are the only ones capable to destroy a universe “properly” then SSJG Goku is nowhere near that level.

let`s face it. trunks ssj2 went from weaker than ssj3 goku to being able to go toe-to-toe with black and zamasu.

just give him a random rage boost,he would be able to destroy all universes.

Wow. SSj4 Gogeta's strength is completely underestimated here. People seem to forget that base Goku in GT was equal to ssj3 Goku in Z. Then you add all the multipliers onto that which would make ssj4 Goku at LEAST equal to ssj god goku. Although ssj4 Gogeta still would be weaker than Whis and Beerus, he definitely would not lose to anyone weaker than SSJB Goku and Vegeta.

You seem to forget that First form Frieza (post training) stomped Ssj Gohan (= Mystic Gohan), that Beyond God Goku (ROF) would stomp the entire Z cast, Vegito included, etc etc.
So the fact that Base GT Goku is as strong as Ssj3 Goku is not impressive at all.

Why is this even up for debate?

Omega Shenron: stated to be able to destroy the universe through a chain reaction that goes from planet to planet and each planet taking approximately "soon" so at most high solar system level
SSJ4 Gogeta: strongest attack failed to kill Omega Shenron
SSG Goku: stated and shown to have a power capable of laying waste to the whole universe

SSG Goku would solo GT alone.
