Freeza is 90% of what he was so that's good. But fuck, his men are all so casual towards him. I really hate that and makes no sense given the guy is their boss and he was torturing Tagoma in front of their eyes anyways.

This also bothered me a lot.

I believe this is a translator-related issue.
Saturday's episode had them refering to him as "Mestre Freeza" (and "Mestre Sorbet" to Sorbet). Probably two different translators refering to them differently. Also happens sometimes with "Guerreiros (do Espaço)" vs. "Super Guerreiros".

It is translation-related but I'm baffled about why these mistakes even exist. There's no excuse even if they don't know Japanese and don't know which "you" they're supposed to use. The translators can't do a good job if they don't check.

It's funny Spínola will play four characters this arc.

Well I disagree. I think it's at least ok. It's not the best but it's definetly not the worst, I prefer Portuguese Goten to Funi Goten for example.

Well I have a request for anyone here who usually sends messages and talks to the portuguese cast, Could you ask if they record different versions of the same dialog with different names, for example Mr. Satan instead of Hercules and Kakarot instead of Cachalote, because since the funi dub is gonna get a censored version with the original Funimation names and an uncesored version with the japonese names I wondered if we'll have the same happen in Portugal, and since João Loy knows about the Kakarot name which he wouldn't know about unless he said it, and even if it was because of the Japonese audio he'd say Kakaroto since that's how they say it in Japonese, so I'm asking this to anyone who's ever reached the actors with questions about our dub.

For the most part, the names Uncut and Censored Funi use are the same. The main difference is Mr. Satan/Hercule and maybe a couple of attack names.

Yeah but that's because they barely changed the names, here we changed a lot and having a version with the original names would be great.

Unfortunately they chose to stay consistent with the original dub terminology. They made that choice and they won't go back and change that just to appease an handful of us.

Funi hardly corrected any of its old dub names in its old Kai dub. Even though they were mostly similar to the Japanese to begin with, they haven't been "fixed" to fully align with the Japanese. I've yet to see Funi call "Krillin" "Kuririn" or pronounce "Saiyan" as "Sigh-an" rather than "say-in", for examples. A couple of technique names were "fixed", but it isn't consistent ("Makenkosappo" from "Special Beam Canon" at least, forgot other examples...)

Yeah true, but we did at least get Gt on VHS, and with Toei Europe so happy with DBS's european releases maybe we could actually see it happen.

I think it will probably get a DVD release. Other anime series seem to get them. Not full seasons, but some episodes packed together in a disc.
