I really, really, really hate to be "that guy" but... this joke makes no sense. Dragon Ball is far bigger in Japan than anywhere in the West.

I don't think the joke is about it being bigger in the west, but more like a small group westerners watching super and now that a dub is announced more westerners are interested.

I think the joke here is that a dub of the show brings more interest from the western fans than having the show subbed does.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Someone should make a thread about Toriyama reusing character traits for new characters and then dumping the older characters in the bin, only to dump the newer characters in the bin too.

While very creative and awesome I can only imagine the very creepy tune that would come out of it. Maybe even with some of Zamasu's laugh in the background too.
