I was just thinking: you know how the daizenshuu says that movie 5 is canon, despite how we know it can't be for sooo many reasons? I was just thinking it could still possibly work in either Timeline 3 or 4 (but not both) since we don't know enough about them.
If it occurred in Timeline 4, it could take place exactly when the daizenshuu said it did, since any plotholes can be chocked up to differences in the timelines. Meanwhile, the fact that Goku and co weren't warned about Cooler by TL3 Trunks can be explained by the fact that Cooler never showed up in that timeline.
If it occurred in Timeline 3, then it simply occurred before Goku died of the heart disease and any plotholes can be chocked up to differences in the timelines.
What do you guys think?
