Which, how far exactly does that extend? You only have to play the story missions again, right, not re-do every PQ and re-unlock all skills or whatever, right? Cuz assuming you can skip cutscenes, that would be at least a slight headache, but not be too bad, just doing the story again and the specific race areas again.

So in terms of unlocking new stuff altogether, you'd really just have to re-do the story and do the time rift stuff (chiefly to get their individual transformations)? Hmm...I might have to toy with that soon enough then.MathSSJ wrote:The only thing that is transfered between characters are skills, costumes and resources (Zenny, TP Medals and your inventory). Is there a busier time of week for expert quests or has everyone already done them? I can easily find tournament members, but nobody is in expert quest.

If you want to just unlock the transformations, yeah, you can ignore everything else and plow through the story + their respective transformation quest line.Gyt Kaliba wrote:So in terms of unlocking new stuff altogether, you'd really just have to re-do the story and do the time rift stuff (chiefly to get their individual transformations)? Make sure to get the Super Soul that boosts the points you gain. With it, you won't even need to finish the story due to all that extra ranks. IIRC Saiyans (60) and Freezas (70) are the "hardest" ones to get because you need higher ranks. Everything else is just in the 40s.
I'd avoid doing them online. They are buggy as hell and are actually quite a bit harder with other players. Expert Mission 15 is a special kind of hell to do, but there are some strats that help a lot.Chuquita wrote:Is there a busier time of week for expert quests or has everyone already done them? That's mainly all I'd be wanting to do, is unlock the stuff I couldn't unlock in my other race variants, yeah. I mean, I might eventually go back and play through PQ's with them again, and if I actually needed to do a few to level up more, sure, but beyond that, my main concern is the unlocking. And yeah, got that Super Soul at the ready to help assist with the power leveling too.MathSSJ wrote:If you want to just unlock the transformations, yeah, you can ignore everything else and plow through the story + their respective transformation quest line.

I'm getting closer and closer to when I'd probably do all that too, as playing late last night I finally got a bunch of stuff that had been eluding me for a while (if I didn't know better, I'd think drops happen easier in the dark of night/super early morning...), and I also sold my extra outfit pieces as well as some other stuff, and had enough zeni to buy all the outfit pieces, skills, and accessories that I needed from their respective shops...and with 3 million plus zeni still left over to boot! Still will have to raid the TP Medal Shop over the weekend for other stuff too though...really hoping I have enough to get everything I need from there already too. I want to say I have 450 give or take medals?

Fair bit more then that. Ryuken and Final Explosion cost 200 a piece. Well crap. And looking into it, the easiest way to get TP medals is...to farm Expert Missions.MathSSJ wrote:Fair bit more then that. Ryuken and Final Explosion cost 200 a piece. You'll need something like... 1000 to be comfortable for a while

If you finished mission 15, farm on Mission 16. Vegeta is super easy to beat and he gives 16 TP Medals. Just make sure to bring a character that can deal good damage. CaC spamming Kienzan is the best.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Well crap. And looking into it, the easiest way to get TP medals is...to farm Expert Missions.MathSSJ wrote:Fair bit more then that. Looks like I need to get back to trying to beat the Expert Missions then. I think I got to about 6 or 7 before I got distracted and did other things.

This goes to show how little I've messed with Expert Missions so far - I thought at least those were sure drops since they had been for me so far, but now finally getting around to beating the Metal Cooler one, nope - got some TP Medals, but 'Death Meteor' did not drop. Oy.

a lot of the ults given from expert missions are pretty meh with the exception of Assault Rain. Dead End Bullet/Rain is hilarious to use on Oozaru though. The last two expert missions drop Spirit Sword and Super Spirit Bomb.Gyt Kaliba wrote:This goes to show how little I've messed with Expert Missions so far - I thought at least those were sure drops since they had been for me so far, but now finally getting around to beating the Metal Cooler one, nope - got some TP Medals, but 'Death Meteor' did not drop. And Blue Hurricane is not as awesome as I saw it being in XV1, yet, it is your reward from the freakiest and hardest mission of this game.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
Yeah it got stunningly nerfed compared to Xenoverse 1. There you could trap multiple enemies and extend the move to a upwards of 20-30+ hits but now in Xeno 2 you average out around 6 hits and each one blows the enemy back forcing you to pursue them. I can see why it was nerfed though as it unleashed hell on Oozaru and grouped enemies in the latter PQ's.Grimlock wrote:And Blue Hurricane is not as awesome as I saw it being in XV1, yet, it is your reward from the freakiest and hardest mission of this game.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
Right now my main Ultimate tends to be Giant Explosion (or whatever Nappa's skill is called), cuz man - it may not always hit, but when it does, it can WRECK people. Trying to beat the 11th Expert Mission (Omega Shenron) now though, and it's being one heck of a pain. So far it's the only one where the opponent seems to actively seek me out instead of my AI support, making it a lot harder to hide and just blow him up from afar.

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
I beat him using Assault Rain and Burning Spin. The latter is especially useful for when you need to free your allies from the crystals as that leaves you completely exposed should Omega seek you out. With Burning Spin you can break the crystals and keep him off you. Otherwise supers like Kienzen/Super Kienzan and Death Beam will help you. Die Die Missle Barrage is always handy and so was Rakshasa's Claw before that got nerfed.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Right now my main Ultimate tends to be Giant Explosion (or whatever Nappa's skill is called), cuz man - it may not always hit, but when it does, it can WRECK people. Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
Believe it or not, I've been having the most luck again now with regular ol' Super Kamehameha - it seems to fit my play style for these overly tough missions the most. IE, I cross my fingers and hope to Super-Kami Dende the rest of my AI team distracts whoever it is long enough for me to charge up and blast them again and again and again and - hey, it's cheap, but when playing against the computer, I'll be as cheap as I want!
Exactly how many of these crazy Expert Missions are there anyway? I'm seeing conflicting reports of 15 and 17 (after already having seen 13 before that), and I'm on 15 now, up against Broly.
Edit: Dear sweet GOD, Expert Mission 15 is INSANE. I survived the last half of the fight with only most of a red bar of health (and only got more back cuz I died and got revived a few times), got knocked out of the arena to have to fight THREE extra people, only for Janemba to kill me again when I got back, and right when I got revived and had him down to like two hits, it timed out on me...if he hadn't been blocking, I'd have won.

I'm dissatisfied with the middle expert missions. I'm on 12 now (Bardock, oozaru). Specifically the dragging the fight out by sending you to another stage to fight someone else or multiple someone elses part.
I'd rather have just one insanely difficult boss battle instead of a marginally difficult boss with a ton of filler bosses battles.
I like the throw back the giant ki blast part though.
