Will Funimation skip Episode 69?

Does Funimation have the rights to Dr. Slump, Arale, Gatchan, etc.?

We never got an American Dub of this, so would they just skip this episode because they do not have a license to show these characters? Would they consider skipping this because it might not relate well to an American audience? Baseball relates much better so they could go to that one right after Episode 68.

Even though I think power-level debates are pretty irrelevant by this point (especially when it comes to Beerus and a gag character like Arale) it definitely seems like they were going with the implication that Beerus would've destroyed Arale if it weren't for his indigestion (ew). That was kind of disappointing to be honest. Since Arale is a gag character, why not have her mop the floor with Beerus? It's not like that would hurt his credibility as an all-powerful God of Destruction.

I think it's because Toei sees Toriko as a flop so they don't let any other licensor or company have the license to them and dub them. That was also the reason why FUNi stopped dubbing Toriko, because Toei stopped Toriko dead in it's tracks because it was proving to be a flop for them. FUNi stated on the One Piece DVD set that was supposed to have the first Toriko crossover episode on it that they weren't given the rights to dub the episode and put it on home video so it's all Toei.

As a rule of thumb, you "buy" the right to broadcast a product. If the license is just one, you care of that one, whatevere there's in.
Different matter if the product shown more than one attribution and copyright notice, in that case you need to buy each of them one by one to broadcast the product (sometime this happen to videogames or music collection).

I think because that was treated separate while the Slump crossovers happened in Super proper. So I think that would require a separate license.

Yea. This will be treated as DBS ep 69 and not something different. It's not an all out crossover with its own timeslot.Plus both are by the same Mangaka.

Personally, I'm going by the headcanon that Arale COULD defeat Beerus, but they never got a chance to show that off. I know that Beerus is supposed to be the (2nd) strongest of Universe 7, but it sort of left a sour taste in me that Beerus looked to have Arale on the ropes, and that Arale didn't even get a chance to fight him. I was hoping to see Beerus subjected to some gag attacks like Vegeta was.
