Could Cell have gone through a different evolution?
Could he have had evolved on his own without the need to absorb Android 17 and Android 18?

He's not a Pokemon, so no.

Cell has the genes of best fighters within the series. I'm surprised he never considered doing such a thing. Since Frieza made his own restriction forms. Saiyans have there ssj forms which i bet they got from mutations. I can't see why Cell simply can't evole into something amazing.

Re: Could Cell have gone through a different evolution?
I suppose he could gain multiple zenkais if beaten to near death and then healed up again. If trapped in the ROSAT long enough, he might become more powerful. Like, if Future Trunks tossed him into the ROSAT in the future timeline, and blew up the door.... and Imperfect Cell trains there for the next 9 years, basically coming out the same year Merged Zamasu fights Vegito.... he would have had 3,285 years (9 years outside) to train inside the ROSAT. With King Cold and Frieza's cells, he might have a very long life span. He might be able to scream his way out after 3,285 years of training. If he does ever figure out that screaming could get him out. That is, if he's reached Super Buu's power level by training for so long in there

Are you sure? Most of Pokémon evolve twice, Cell evolved twice (thrice if you count his Super Saiyan 2 form), and he has Freeza and King Cold's cells too, therefore allowing him to undergo through an extremely and intense training of mere four months to achieve his golden form (or whatever other color Cell wants to pick). I'm pretty sure he's so capable as any other one, maybe even more.precita wrote:He's not a Pokemon, so no.

well, unless he is like eevee and can evolve multiple times, then he's finished.Grimlock wrote:Are you sure? Re: Could Cell have gone through a different evolution?
theoretically, Cell should be able to attain an evolution from training like Frieza did.
it would be kind of a cool idea, but it's not something I think they should do in Super.
maybe if they ever make more non-canon movies it could be a cool idea.
