Toonami announced both Kai and Super and the airing times on Facebook.

I stand corrected. 2017 is shaping up to be a great year for Dragon Ball in the US.

This is really the best move Toonami could have chosen to do. With the choices of either broadcasting Buu Arc of Kai and saving Super until next year (thus killing it's novelty), or skipping Kai altogether in favor of Super, they made the best move possible and said "why not both"? This is easily the biggest U.S. Dragon Ball news drop in recent times and I'm super excited!

Guys, I know it might be just a TV show to some, but this really means a lot to me. I've been waiting for this since I was 10-11 and having this particular version of a show that I love come back on TV.....it hits me more on a personal level because of all the awesome times that I had watching it. Bet Kid Trunks will be Alexis Tipton here too, but I saw Eric Vale in the cast list. Hate that it's Colleen as 18 again though. I guess it's for consistency even though Brad Jackson will be Oolong.

I do, Dragon Ball has been a huge part of my life for a long time and I've become attached to the characters and many of the actors (both English speaking and Japanese) and I want to see it do well, and hopefully gain some new fans along the way.

I never watched much of Kai 2.0 in Japanese as it seemed like a bit of a clusterfuck, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Funimation has done with it and Super. Whatever downsides Kikuchi Kai and Buu Kai have, I'm pleased we'll finally have a good English dub of the whole Z era.

Eh, I disagree. The concept itself of a man playing the adult and child versions of the character the he is voicing is something that I can see happening in English. As long as he's got the range. Now, for Eric Vale doing it, I can see the uncertainty of it. I'm not sure if he's got the range for something like that. Takeshi Kusao does, so it works. It's dependent on the actor himself, rather than the langauge.

True, true. But Eric Vale has a terrible and unmistakenly adult rasp that is hard to hide. If it was say, Ben Diskin,I would have a lot more faith.

So, if I remember correctly, there was supposed to be something "special" about how Funimation handled the fake Cell Games stuff at the Tournament.

Funimation's posted cast list has this listed for the "fake" versions of Cell, Mr. Satan, and Goku:

FAKE CELL - Wally West
FAKE MR. SATAN - Jay Garrick
FAKE GOKU - Bart Allen

For people who aren't gigantic nerds (about non-Dragon Ball things): "Wally West", "Jay Garrick", and "Bart Allen" are three different comic book characters who have all been DC Comics' "The Flash" at various points in time.

I have no idea if them using those specific names to (probably) hide whoever's actually voicing those characters means anything, but I wanted to call attention to it.
