What if Cell absorbed different Androids?

Throughout the Android arc and the Android 13 movie we're shown 5 other Androids. Would the series have differed if Cell absorbed them instead and would Cell's transformation and perfect form look different because of it? (13, 14, and 15 being in canon in this scenario)

He can't absorb other androids because he was specifically designed to absorb only 17 and 18, after eating a lot of humans.

Was that the case? I don't remember them ever saying that straight up. I always believed that Cell chose 17 and 18 because he only knew about them and Gero and Cell wouldn't kill his creator. If he knew about 13, 14, 15, and 19 and they were around he may still attempt to take them instead

17 and 18 were designed to get absorbed by Cell. Only they are compatible to be absorbed.

It's just like Angelus said, cell was specifically designed to absorb 17 and 18 to complete his transformation..
So he can't really absorb other Androids, other organic beings though, that's a different story
