What if Raditz managed to escape Earth?

What if Raditz managed to escape Earth?

If Raditz managed to escape Earth, just barely, would that have changed his character. I like to think that he would actually become like Vegeta and become a good guy.

Vegeta might have killed him like Nappa for failing to take over the planet.
