What, are you implying the others don't? Heresy! Toriyama put in a lot of effort into making people's hair change & go spiky damn it!
I can just imagine him explaining ssj2 to the staff.
Staff: But isn't that just super saiyan?
Toriyama: I mean yeah. If you want to be close minded about it, you could say that. But get this, this time it has lightening.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Probably something closer to this:
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.
How the Black Arc Should End (by Lightbing!):
Spoiler:
Absolute Zamasu(my name for their fusion) wins. He fulfils his utopia and dwells in his loneliness(x amount of time for this to happen). He starts to doubt of his achievements, Goku's body influences him to seek out challenges but there's nothing. Perfection becomes a curse. Absolute Zamasu starts to dread his existence and presents himself to the Omni-King, detailing on his actions.
Using his powers the Omni-King restores everything to the moment before Goku and Vegeta perish, humanity's last barrier. Zamasu concedes. He ask for forgiveness(mainly to Goku, Gowasu and Trunks) and understands that his justice isn't justice at all. He asks for judgement and the Omni-King delivers.
Trunks is forced never to travel in time ever again, all the time-machines are destroyed.

Don't forgor changing eye colour and having brows removed!
Ironically, the concept arc for SSJ3 has the tail regrowing again:

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

Yeah the last form that had actual EFFORT put into it. Such a good form and the better form to fuse with for Dragon Ball Fusions for my character at least.
The last form? More like the only form.
I wouldn't say that. SSJ for most outside of Vegeta had a unique due to it. SSJ2 is hit or miss depending on who's using it. With Kid Gohan being the best, and Vegeta always being the worst when it comes to unique forms...cept for SSJ4 where it's good for him. Goku depending on how he is drawn is either good, ok, or bad as SSJ2 since it changes a lot from person to person. The grade forms blow though for the most part. SSJ3 was pretty wild and different. SSJ4 is the most unique of them all. SSJ God is barebones but has some stuff to it...but is pretty underwhelming. Blue just needed to go more of the SSJ2 route and I'd have appreciated it more...but it falls flat for me at least. Has some cool aura and egg shell transformation...which they stopped using for some dumb reason.
But that's if ya ask me.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
I wouldnt jump on the "Goku is dead" train yet. The music make it hard to believe. It's also possible that Hit uses a move that just makes Goku LOOK like he is dead. Then he will get up later sore.
I just don't want to expect one thing too much. We know this series never does what we think it's going to do.
Doctor. wrote:The preview music doesn't mean anything. They also had cheery music play over the previews of the F arc.
They might have also wanted the NEP music from the Future Trunks arc to be exclusive to it, but didn't want to make new preview music for this filler arc. A good amount of the NEP is silly too, it doesn't really get dark until the very end.
Chuquita wrote:I also don't think he's dead and that Toei's just leading us on. (But then I don't want him to be dead either so...)
Cheerful music being used when they had access to dramatic Zamasu arc next episode preview music adds to my skepticism.
Or we can just remember that this is dragonball, and death really has no consequence in this context, unless Hit kills Dende as well.

In Z, the characters were so depended on Goku that they couldn't go an episode without mentioning him in some way even by hoping he will arrived, get better, training to get stronger, our last hope, being like him, ect. Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.

They still have one wish left luckily, hope Goku stills dead so he won't be the protagonist of this filler arc, I don't hate him or anything but I want old Z characters be relevant again

If he's out for this arc, the protag will probably be Vegeta. Though I wonder why anyone else would need to fight Hit, he's only there for Goku (Unless the job wanted the family dead too?).
Any speculations as to why these fish people want Goku dead? And how the hell did Hit get to universe 7? He never got the cube...

Why the hell would Gohan be the main character when Vegeta's still alive? I think he'll have a role this arc though. With Goku dead, Nozawa needs someone to voice act.
