Super Animation Catalogue 2.0
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 70
Someone correct my awful maths ability if this is wrong, but I believe we had five weeks between Universe 6 and Future Trunks. This time, we're looking at 11 weeks?!
That's actually quite exciting, and could really do a lot for the series if they keep doing episodes as conservative as what we've had so far.
I'm calling it Operation Reset. I hope they don't make silly mistakes again.

Eleven weeks should allow the pre-production to catch up a little bit. That much time should help with better planning and scripting.

If they are already making episodes for the new arc with new supervisors will be fantastic, but I'm sure this won't be the case

I hope TOEI is going to be like "SURPRISE MADAFAKA!" and shock us with the animation and new good Supervisors with a bunch of good Key Animators. Though it could be just some freelancers not permanent staff like Tate, Karasawa, Shimanuki.Alee9977 wrote:If they are already making episodes for the new arc with new supervisors will be fantastic, but I'm sure this won't be the case

So.... Toyotaro was full of shit when he said he'd be going ahead of the anime? Hopefully the next arc starting this soon after Shimanuki, Ishikawa, Tate and Karasawa do episodes isn't a bad thing. So we're looking at a 6 episode filler arc then? I guess Newtype could be spectacularly wrong.
EDIT: Guess not, the Hit thing is seemingly only 2 episodes.

U6 - Future trunks
Filler episodes were 42 - 46. Thats 4 weeks (I Think). And they managed to pull off some great animation for the start of the future trunks arc.
If we're getting 11 weeks, then that would be insane for dragon ball super

Not really. If he finishes the arc this week, and starts the universal arc next month he'll be aheadNoah wrote:With the announcement of the new arc, my hopes for the animation are nothing but the best

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

He will take out most of the stuff like Vegetto, Mafuba.Lord Beerus wrote: If he finishes the arc this month, it will be insanely rushed and very underwhelming. I have a feeling he'll finish the arc in January.
This way it could would be something like this.
Black gets overwhelmed by Goku and Vegeta, Mirai Zamasu shows up and use potara to fuse immediatly, creating Merged Zamasu with SSR aura, Goku and Vegeta are no match for him, then Goku remembers the Zeno button, presses it and Mirai Zeno shows up and deletes everything. Episode 67 could be done easily in 1 page imo.

They already did. Hit filler arc could be bigger.Ajay wrote:Someone correct my awful maths ability if this is wrong, but I believe we had five weeks between Universe 6 and Future Trunks. This time, we're looking at 11 weeks?!

Hit killing Goku in a way he can't get revived easily, and make Gohan and the rest go to Universe 6 look for him searching for answers, as we get more worldbuilding and prepare Gohan for this arc would be interesting. It would also give them more time to prepare the new major arc coming.
If the next major arc really starts in February, Toyotaro's comment about the manga going ahead doesn't mean much either. It will be ahead for like only 2 months.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

How is something like this even possible in a world where they have 3 wishes in the Namekian DBs?FortuneSSJ wrote:They already did. Quoting myself from other thread:MathSSJ wrote: How is something like this even possible in a world where they have 3 wishes in the Namekian DBs?
This is a example of something they could do. They just need to be creative. As the strongest hitman, Hit should have a technique that completely erases one's soul and it stays lost forever, avoiding that character to be revived.
There's no way they would use something like that on Goku though.
The point is, even with the Dragon Balls there's still ways to raise the stakes on the main timeline with other character's deaths.

Hope we get Yashima to do as much episodes as he can between now and Feb.

Oh shit I just realized what you meant by 11 weeks. You meant since their latest episodes...

That should be ample time if Karasawa and Tate if they decide to only do a little bit of key animation for their upcoming episode. Same for everyone else, really.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 70
The arc might also have a slow start like the Champa arc, letting someone like Yashima handle the first episode.
Actually thinking about it, assuming NewType got the supervisors for these next 3 episodes right and Sakai being the sole supervisor of 73 is a sign of things to come we could be looking at;
74- Kitano, 8 weeks since his last episode, not counting corrections in 69, maybe throw Takamura on there with him just in case
75- Kinoshita & Ono(Wanpak) 8 weeks since their last episode
76- Yashima, 7 weeks since his last episode, also puts him under Tsuji like usual
77(start of new arc)- Nashizawa or Manabe, 9 weeks since last episode
And from that point that actually have some flexibility, 78 could be Ishikawa or Shimanuki with 8 weeks for example and both have shown that 8 weeks is enough for them to turn in a polished episode as a sole supervisor, or Manabe or Nashizawa(which ever didn't do 77) with 10 weeks, and this isn't even considering the possibility of a new supervisor. If the arc opens big we could even see Shida pop up early on with 12 or so weeks to work on his stuff, maybe even more.
I've gone from being worried with Ishikawa, Shimanuki, Tate and Karasawa popping up so soon for two episodes to feeling pretty good, assuming they aren't doubling up on supervisors for all the episodes between now and the next arc. If animators have been able to work on the early episodes since the end of the Future Trunks arc that would be great and could explain why we've been missing a few regulars.

Exactly and the context of my argument with ArchedThunder was that Toyotaro would be way ahead of the anime, I said he as bluffing on that and would just be little ahead as I don't think he will finish this arc in this month, but let's see.Lord Beerus wrote:If he finishes the arc this month, it will be insanely rushed and very underwhelming.
