''Universe survival Arc'' Battle Royale type of Arc???

To me it seems like it will be a universe tournament but a different type of tournament we never seen before in Dragonball a Battle Royal type of Arc

I think it's a good idea. Generally the tournament arcs that follow the traditional brackets are fun, but they can't last long so they don't risk getting boring after a long while. Assuming that a multiversal tournament would have dozens or even hundreds of contestants, perhaps that would make things more interesting.

I would like to see a scenario where Earth gets destroyed in some ''kind'' of war. Then the Dragon Team should survive in the Universe like the title says.

If this arc turns into something like the Battle Royale but on a Multiverse level, that would be phenomenal. The pure potential behind that concept itself is immense. But I have a feeling this arc will last a very long time. No way are Toei going blow through this arc in something like half a year. They are going to milk the shit out of this for as long as possible.

To be entirely correct, it's Hunger Games that was an Hollywood version of Battle Royale, that came out first.
Anyway, Hunger Games was mostly inspired by the movie "The Running Man" (a killer TV show where media control politics...), broadly based by a novel of Stephen King. The same novel of King was admittedly inspired by a short story of the great Robert Sheckley, "The Prize of Peril".
So, to be honest, that shitty thing of youngsters killing themselves in a forest for the joy of delusional youngsters rooted in one of the most creative SCI FI writer to date. Obviously ruining everything.

As being this a Dragon Ball forum, I have to say something dragonballish to keep my account, so how you can EVEN REMOTELY believe a show like Super will figure a complex arc like a Battle Royale one? Most probably the arc will end as a simple tournament.

My personal theory is that Universes are at stake. Maybe losers get their universe destroyed? I don't know. Just a guess. My only evidence is that we know how fickle the Omni-King is when it comes to the destruction of Universes. I highly doubt the tournament fights will be death matches. But then again if my previous theory is right then it seems weird that killing your opponent would be such a big deal. Maybe Zen-oh judges the fights by how entertained he is and not by who wins?

I wish they had introduced the Makaioshins fighting the Gods in an actual "Battle of Gods" War. Make the fight could take part in the demon realm where Xeno's powers don't work or some shit, because Xeno ruins everything.

The gap betwen the quality of Toriyama's premises and execution has been so wide, you can fit all 12 universes in there. Fantastic premises, mediocre execution.
