Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I'm worry since we are getting so many new characters, they may be just dull and forgettable. I like the U6 fighters because I found them memorable to a certain degree and I still look back on the U6 vs U7 tournament with characters like Hit, Cabba and Frost.

I feel like we're having the tournament too early, I'm looking for it to be interrupted but I feel like it's also to early to have another bad guy after Zamasu.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I wonder if every Universe is going to have 10 fighters, or if this is just a "bring your best" type thing. I can't imagine 105 new characters. There is no way we are going to focus on them all. Either that or a bunch of universes are about to be jobbed Super hard off screen.

Cant blame everyone for thinking we're getting this multiverse tournament early, I mean getting used to and liking the whole U6 team is already hard enough for some of us but a whole 12 universe with 10 members each team? its way too much of a jump, the amount of characters..... plus this weird vibe that screams "This is end game arc" I simply cant brush off that feeling.

If we see the other God of Destruction, I hope we see original designs for them and not just cats.

Will Monaka return as a spectator to motivate Goku? lol
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I don't as well and was hoping Toriyama would leave it for his last arc but I trust him enough with the franchise to do the right thing so hopefully this is it.Nekis13 wrote:I don't like the idea of the tournament so soon...

He'd probably just freeze up at the sight of so many powerful beings.precita wrote:Will Monaka return as a spectator to motivate Goku? lol

Maybe it is his last arc (god I hope so!), I'm sick of making myself spend money on things. Yes, I do know that it's probably not.sintzu wrote:I don't as well and was hoping Toriyama would leave it for his last arc but I trust him enough with the franchise to do the right thing so hopefully this is it.Nekis13 wrote:I don't like the idea of the tournament so soon...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
If this is the last arc of Super that would be depressing.
It'd be awful to end it without even getting to Planet Salad (though I guess the upside is I can keep my headcanons about Planet Salad if they decide we're never going to see it). But if it is the last arc, oh well, I'll just move on after that. I won't have to worry about getting home in time to watch it live, and I know it'll free up the spare time I spend on Super so there's that stuff.
Man, I wanted them to actually get to explore these other universes, but no they're just going to destroy them so the chance to visit won't even exist anymore.
Well, you know I had fun while it lasted; they wanna end it with this there's nothing I can do about it.

If this was the last arc then they will promote the hell out of it which as of now they're not so it's safe to say we'll get more after it.SansrivaaL wrote:Cant blame everyone for thinking we're getting this multiverse tournament early, I mean getting used to and liking the whole U6 team is already hard enough for some of us but a whole 12 universe with 10 members each team? its way too much of a jump, the amount of characters..... plus this weird vibe that screams "This is end game arc" I simply cant brush off that feeling.
In terms of the universes, we might not get the whole tournament in one arc, we could get our universe vs another one and when 7 and the other 5 universes are picked for the 2nd round they'll all go back home and wait a few months or so for the round to begin and in that time we can have another arc with a major villain.

If it is then it'll be announced and promoted as the last one during Jump Festa.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:Maybe it is his last arc (god I hope so!), I'm sick of making myself spend money on things. Yes, I do know that it's probably not.
If you're going to spend $$$ on it then surly there's something you like about it right ?

If the other universes get destroyed, the fighters will have nowhere left to go but Universe 7.
Then some major shyt's gonna go down.

Yeah, I like it cause it's Dragon Ball and I'm a completionist. I don't want DB to become like One Piece, where there's so much material that collecting the whole thing isn't worth it anymore.sintzu wrote:If it is then it'll be announced and promoted as the last one during Jump Festa.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:Maybe it is his last arc (god I hope so!), I'm sick of making myself spend money on things. I imagine we'll only see the people that the Universe 7 team fights.Boo Machine wrote:I wonder if every Universe is going to have 10 fighters, or if this is just a "bring your best" type thing. It's too much if you buy it in parts but so far I haven't had trouble with the collections.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:I don't want DB to become like One Piece, where there's so much material that collecting the whole thing isn't worth it anymore.
I don't want it to go on forever but I also want to see as many stories from Toriyama as possible cause I feel like the only reason it ended back in the 90's was because of his health so it's nice to see him be able to tell these stories in another way that doesn't put him at risk.
Personally I don't think we'll get more than 10 arcs and this is the 5th one so 5 to go.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Toriyama arcs or not, we'll get more Dragon Ball Arcs as long as it's popular. From the looks of things, that's going to be a little more than 3 years' worth (that's over 5 arcs, btw).sintzu wrote:Personally I don't think we'll get more than 10 arcs and this is the 5th one so 5 to go.

Super is bound to last at least 150 episodes. We're literally on episode 70. I think we have plenty of time in this series yet.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Come to think of it, you're right, Super has covered 4 main arcs and 2 filler arcs in a year and a half so we could get a lot more than that from him.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:Toriyama arcs or not, we'll get more Dragon Ball Arcs as long as it's popular. I'll be fine with that cause whenever he's done we'll have some idea about what the manga could've looked like if his health didn't give out in the 90's.
When he's done I think they should take a break for awhile to plan everything out cause I don't want another rushed GT mess.
We've got a few more filler episodes before the main arc and with the Zamasu arc being 21 episodes and this seemingly having a lot more going on, I think it'll go up to 110 or so.precita wrote:Super is bound to last at least 150 episodes. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Are you referring to this tournament arc or Super as a whole? This tournament will probably last around 20 or so episodes, maybe 30 depending on if it goes out of control by the end.sintzu wrote: We've got a few more filler episodes before the main arc and with the Zamasu arc being 21 episodes and this seemingly having a lot more going on, I think it'll go up to 110 or so.
