There's a shot of what appears to be a Universe exploding. I wonder if that's just a visual representation of the threat or one of the Universes gets done in from the start. Maybe due to a overly upset Kaioshin or something.

You might be right, this is just the premise for it to be interesting.

They all have the same Egyptian-styled garb, but there's no guarantee they'll all be purple cats a la Beerus and Champa. I'm not convinced the one close-up isn't just Beerus and East Kaioshin in formal wear. In the group shot there's at least one giant God of Destruction, relative to the others, in the row on the right side.

I was about to mention that huge ass God of Destruction in the right row.
Yeah, the ones with the ears pointing out are just Champa and Beerus, as others said. The people wearing the darker clothes are the respective Kaioshins - we see Beerus with the U7 one, later.

I can understand it's a hard task to come up with newer designs just think it would be kinda lazy if they're all just cat, hell I wouldn't mind a tiger type of God of Destruction.

I'm most excited to see all the designs of these gods even if we only see them briefly.
A few pages back someone mentioned the idea of Black somehow being on U10's team which would obviously be silly. Still, it made me think of the idea of the Kaioshin from U10's twin universe being a Zamasu twin...but I guess it isn't like U6's gods look anything like Kaioshin.

So now its confirmed that any Universe that loses will get destroyed. Don't get me wrong, I'm hyped for this, but this idea is dark and sadistic. Dragonball has arguably never been this dark at this magnitude.

Can people stop saying this will be the final arc? There is nothing that says this will be.

The Buu saga in the manga and the Shadow Dragon arc in GT never said that they would be the last arc in the series. So who knows. It won't surprise me if Toei does end up with this arc and announces a sequel show afterwards.

I still want(ed) Freeza to wind up on the Universe 7 team. Universal survival provides the perfect excuse for Beerus to go rogue and resurrect the other strongest guy in Universe 7 for his team.
