Post by Ki Breaker » Sat Dec 17, 2016 11:02 am

The tournament arc has a lot of potential, so much so that it's idea is enough to Start the hype train full speed!

As this is so important, There are things which are just not acceptable in this arc's execution..

Name your worst fears for this arc which should be avoided being done at all costs

Goku & co continuing to be buddy-buddy with the Omni-King(s) by the time the tournament arc ends.

A format where if a character loses but their team wins the round they are still knocked out of the whole tournament.

This means whoever did not lose can continue to the next stage of the tournament. I want them to all win and lose throughout the tournament.

I just want a decent tournament, I would hate it if Yamcha, Goten and Trunks are not mentioned at all and if there was no "okay-ish" interaction with Kuririn, Lazuli and Lapis, also if there was not even a mentioning of his new family. And while I liked Goku VS Hit I would hate it if it would just be another tournament like that because I thought it was a very lame one.

That Omni-King is not treated as a psychopath by the story
That the structure of the tournament is the same as all the other tournaments. It's the omni-king, weird it up!
That there's no 'villain' per-say
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

The only one of these that'll happen is the last, I fully expect another shitty arena with the same Budokai rules and Omni-King's psychopathy being used for comedy more than anything.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Goku lost against Hit (or would have lost) and it was Monaka who won the tournament for U7, after Hit gave up. Then, Goku was powerless to stop Champa from destroying the U6 contestants and it was the Omni-King who had to save the day.

I don't think any day was "saved" in the Zamasu arc. At best, Whis created a new timeline for Trunks and Mai. Goku was completely useless and a hindrance.

This.

I want to see either one "good" and one "bad" Zeno or for Goku to begin seeing both as "enemies".

Boring like the U6 arc. Want interesting fights or spin on fights not just them just duking it out in a plain looking ring for the whole thing. Have several different battlefields each with advantages and disadvantages depending on the contestants.

Underdeveloped characters, tell me something about Botomo other then his ability and he is fat, or Frost other then that he is a space pirate, or Magetta other then he gets easily offended. Hell even Hit other then that he is an assassin. Introducing new characters is fine but also develop them properly.

Botamo and magetta are bffs! That counts right :D
Frost is freeza basically, more cunning
Hit is an assassin who became bored of his existence, but has a new life due to goku..
I understand what you mean, but that's all they could do In an arc

That it will not be long enough and the pacing will be rushed. I hated that over simplification they did in the FT arc. I don't want one episode fights.

just give me some good plain fights. I don't think super's budget can handle anything like a varied stage setting or a war or anything else.
this set how has bad production very often, don't go overboard, just be simple and fun.

my biggest fear is that it will aim for the stars but blow up under the weight of its concept.

I fear that universes actually start getting destroyed and it's not treated as a horrible event. If universes actually start going, I want to see the characters appalled, not making excuses like "oh Zen'ou's always like this ahahaha". Of course, Gowasu and Zamasu visiting Planet Babari 1000 years in the future without finding themselves in destroyed space does imply that universes aren't actually going to disappear, or that they'll come back later, but I want to see some emotion anyway!

Or it just implies that universe 10 won.
