I doubt they are all cats. It seems like we only seen Champa and Beerus in the image. I hope we will see other gods based on other animals. I remember people posted fan art of U10's GoD being a Dog.

I think "team battle" just means the 10 man teams representing each universe, not that each team will have sub-teams.
Not sub teams but when each universe fights at a particularl stage they select so many fighters to participate in either singles, doubles or trebles to score points or something.

Yeah, I would appreciate some catfighting, give us a Zangya-like character and let her give a good pounding on 18 or vice-versa :)

But he already expressed he also finds Goku a very interesting person and said he would like to know him more.
He might probably be the person that told Vados to ask Hit to kill him, although that would ruin the revelation that he is in fact a villain in the next arc.

I remember that one regarding the dog, that actually looked really good and intimidating. Maybe each twin universe just has twin god of destructions?

It wouldn't be so farfetched that Zeno or some kind of sage leveled the power levels of everyone in the tournament so the wins are made purely on skill.
There's room for only one snake, and one big boss.

In the tournament I want there to be a part where the grand priest makes everyone's power level the same so they have to fight on pure skill.

They're one and the same. You can't be powerful, but not skilled, or vice-versa. That doesn't logically follow.

I doubt we'll ever see Gogeta as part of official canon. He'll likely just remain a movie and GT character.

No they are not the same.

The grand priest has some sort of magic that puts everyone's power level to the same and then they fight.

So did I. I also think having a Dog GoD would make a good rival for Beerus since Cats and Dogs are known to be rivals with each other.

Well, 4-year-old Gohan & 10-year-old Oob disagree with you.

- New PV-

Only Dragon Ball can make me this excited with a PV showing mostly only manga panels! That beautiful gem of soundtrack playing on the background played a key role though.

This arc has easily the potential to be the best tournament of DB franchise, but so did Champa's tournament and they didn't succeed it. Let's hope they deliver this time. The production got better since then at least.

Since this tournament is handled by two Zenos I'm not expecting it to be interrupted, but who knows if Daishinkan has some hidden intentions. An Angel becoming a villain is not out of question.

I had completely forgot Beerus and Kaioshin need to be formally dressed whenever they meet with Zeno, so I was surprised when I saw them dressed like that.
The last time with Goku was a exception.

The gathering of all Gods reminded me of Bleach's Gotei 13 gathering in Soul Society arc.
I'm hyped!

- New Opening song-

I certainly didn't expect that. That's good news but until i hear the Opening i won't get excited. Just thinking it could be as bad as the current one makes me depressed.
Starting with a bad Opening, 2 movie retellings, Kaio's voice actor sick and art/animation problems, makes you realize how terrible Super started. Most other series would be doomed right there.

Personally, I think the current one is lame and one of the worst Opening songs this franchise ever had, together with DB Kai Buu arc Opening.
DB Heroes got a second theme song and just like the first one is something awesome and fits Dragon Ball.

Those are the kind of theme songs this franchise must have. Songs full of energy, that are catchy and pump you up. Not one sung by an guy that seems he's dying.
We should just have got Kageyama or Jam Project from the beginning. That's the level this franchise deserves. Instead, One Punch Man may get them for the second season too.

Seems like this new singer is a big name, but isn't the current one supposed to be one too?! Never heard about any of them.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

How so? Oob's childhood ability is vague af, and Gohan is absolutely useless in a fight unless he get's pissed off and lowers all restraints.

Both of them are more powerful than many of the most skilled fighters, yet they lack skill themselves.

Piccolo and Kamesennin are way more skilled than Gohan (at any point) and Oob.

That is why they are in and not Trunks and Goten. Also if Gohan does not have a decent gap between him and his opponent he will almost certaintly lose any match unless it is a group battle.

Is anyone else thinking there's going to be a universe that turns up with just one fighter?

A new OP pretty much confirms that Super is not gonna finish after this arc, like a few people have assumed. While I'm happy for the new OP we're getting, at the same time, it's a bit of shame that the case because I loved the current OP. Oh well. The PV is also very intriguing, but unfortunately my worst fears have been confirmed... every team that loses has their universe destroyed. Look, I understand that they want to create stakes for tournament, but man this feel like a colossal waste of the potential the others universes could provide. Man, the multiverse concept looks like it's going to wasted on a tournament. I hope there is an underlying plot to this whole thing that would make the pay off of several universe being wasted, but its gotta be the greatest payoff Dragon Ball has ever done for a plotline.
