To be honest I'd just say it's Toriyama/TOEI not thinking too far ahead at the time. Time rings have strange properties so I'm not sure it implies too much as the rings only seem to take you to a fluid "possible" future that can be changed.Alruneia wrote:I fear that universes actually start getting destroyed and it's not treated as a horrible event. If universes actually start going, I want to see the characters appalled, not making excuses like "oh Zen'ou's always like this ahahaha". Of course, Gowasu and Zamasu visiting Planet Babari 1000 years in the future without finding themselves in destroyed space does imply that universes aren't actually going to disappear, or that they'll come back later, but I want to see some emotion anyway!

Lol Goku calling Zeno doesn't mean Goku saved the day. With that logic, it was Trunks that "called" Goku by going to the past, so Trunks actually saved the dayDSB wrote:Universe 6 arcDoctor. wrote:When's even the last time that happened?DSB wrote:Goku saves the day [AGAIN]
Also . Kinda in Zamasu arc too . Its goku who called Zeno ...

Re: Your fears for the tournament arc
My only fears for this next tournament arc is that it might be as underwhelming as the Universe 6 tournament 2 arcs ago. I don't want the fights to be poorly animated, executed and choreographed. Seriously, the only good fights in the Universe 6 arc are Vegeta v. Cabba, Vegeta v. Hit, and Goku v. Hit. Not to mention, diminishing other characters for the sake of the Goku and Vegeta show. Boo fell asleep during the test, Piccolo technically won but still didn't do jackshit, and the revelation of Monaka being a weakling all along. All that to pave way for Goku and Vegeta. I just want other characters to be involved and it most likely may be the case with this Universal Survival arc with 10 players on the teams, but I still have some doubts that it might repeat the same mistakes as the Universe 6 arc.

Gohan will barely do anything.
Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Maybe on planet Potafeau? But even there, he made it in time only due to the lucky help from Monaka...Doctor. wrote:When's even the last time that happened?DSB wrote:Goku saves the day [AGAIN]
Re: Your fears for the tournament arc
Am I the only one to "fear" that Universe 7 looks very small?
I mean... 10 fighters, all of them living on Earth!
Is it really the only planet of the entire U7 with strong fighters?
I do know it's to give fans a chance to see their loved characters in action again... but from an in-universe perspective it's a bit strange, don't you think?

Well, they may all live on Earth, but not all of them came from Earth.Gig wrote:Am I the only one to "fear" that Universe 7 looks very small?

Roshi, Tenshinhan, 17, 18, Gohan and Kuririn were all born on Earth. Goku and Vegeta came from planet Vegeta. Piccolo originally came from Namek. Majin Boo has existed since the beginning of time. So, 3 out of 10 ain't too bad.

All they could do? I highly disagree, it was made too simple.Ki Breaker wrote:Botamo and magetta are bffs! Frost is freeza basically, more cunning
Hit is an assassin who became bored of his existence, but has a new life due to goku..
I understand what you mean, but that's all they could do In an arc

Re: Your fears for the tournament arc
My fear is that Toriyama and Toyotaro may over-reach themselves like what happened with universe-killers Buu and Zamasu. They need to keep things a little restrained so that the fights can be good, and only let things go over 9000 in the very end.

Re: Your fears for the tournament arc
That it'll fall into the same trap as the Champa arc; mostly boring: the same arena for every fight, just one fight after another no other plotlines, sloppy stiff animation due to the animators not being able to take a break from the fights to show something else, all the other universes outside of 7 being destroyed forever (meaning we'll never get to see Planet Salad or any other fantastic places), what was talked of earlier in the thread about them still treating Omni King like a friend after he destroys other universes.
My hopes are so low for this arc; I was disappointed when I found out it was another tournament arc so soon. The only positives I have to look forward to at this point are 18 & Krillin teaming up in battle, Park Ranger 17 returning, and the relief that Gokû isn't being killed off by Hit after all.

Your definitely in the minority here. Right now many of us are the most excited we have been for Super.Chuquita wrote:That it'll fall into the same trap as the Champa arc; mostly boring: the same arena for every fight, just one fight after another no other plotlines, sloppy stiff animation due to the animators not being able to take a break from the fights to show something else, all the other universes outside of 7 being destroyed forever (meaning we'll never get to see Planet Salad or any other fantastic places), what was talked of earlier in the thread about them still treating Omni King like a friend after he destroys other universes.

After the ending of Future Trunks saga, I wouldn't bet that U7 will win the tournament.Chuquita wrote:ll the other universes outside of 7 being destroyed forever (meaning we'll never get to see Planet Salad or any other fantastic places)
Also, maybe we will see Super Dragon Balls restoring 11 universes after they have been destroyed, who knows.
However, I wouldn't be suprised if something will happen and the tounament will not be completed (like majn boo arc or ending of z), so many universes would be spared...
Re: Your fears for the tournament arc
i know i cant and shouldnt speak for others but
I'm pretty sure seeing all GoD's and dozens of characters and possible more infos about the angels and the grand priest already makes most of the fans more excited than all of super till of now.

That the pacing will be crappy.
That every universe except U7 literally will be destroyed, never to come back.
That the power scaling will be out of whack what with the fodder participating as well. I better not see more bullshit like Piccolo vs Frost, when Goku's base is apparently God Tier according to the anime. I don't want to see the others do incredibly well with no acknowledgement of them apparently getting stronger.
That Goten and Trunks will get nerfed weaker than #17 & #18, explaining their inclusion over the brats.
That Bra will not have been born yet.
That Tate will have the most dramatic episodes.
That the anime and manga will have major differences once again.

Re: Your fears for the tournament arc
Zeno still being treated as a friend after slaughtering universes.
The universes being permanently gone.
U7 team not training at all or preparing for the tournament.
U7 fighters magically getting stronger because plot or losing easily because they didn't train as mentioned before.
Goku and Vegeta carrying the whole team like last time.

Your third point is something that must not happen but I would not mind the first part of your fourth point happening in the tournament. Anyone not named Goku, Vegeta and Gohan anyway since the others deserve the increase in power.Almighty Majin wrote:Zeno still being treated as a friend after slaughtering universes.

I know I am in the minority, that's why I haven't been posting much despite this being Jump Festa weekend. ^^;namekiansaiyan wrote:Your definitely in the minority here. The Gokû Black arc had me at its promo art, and while I wasn't satisfied with how it ended, there were enough good aspects to the arc itself where I really enjoyed it. This upcoming tournament arc though....I was so burned by the Champa arc tournament that I'm weary of any additional tournaments--especially so soon after the last one.
I still plan to watch the arc, but I won't be posting much about it. When it's something I dislike I try to keep what I say to a minimum because who wants to read complaints that you can't do anything about.

Re: Your fears for the tournament arc
All of the universes, apart from the one the main cast are in, being destroyed is my biggest fear. Why introduce the multiverse concept if they are going to piss it away with a tournament? I mean, something like this should have been saved for the final arc if that was the direction they were going with this.

Sad thing is that this is probably most likely gonna happen, considering "Universal Survival Arc".Lord Beerus wrote:All of the universes, apart from the one the main cast are in, being destroyed is my biggest fear. Well my worst fear was Yamcha not fighting.
But I guess now it's Tien being jobber.
