They were showing every arc, the manga doesn't even have the F arc.

The only thing I know of is that he liked his Janemba design a lot. So much, that he did not change a single thing, which is/was a big accomplishment.

That image of Vegetto at the bottom doesn't have any shading. I wonder if that was Miyako Tsuji's decision or Yamamuro's. Miyako Tsuji also worked as a key animator on the amazingly animated Naruto Shippuden episode 123, which was supervised by Hirofumi Suzuki, so perhaps she was inspired by his style, which also has very simple shading. I really like how this Vegetto without shading looks compared to the more detailed designs, although sadly this Vegetto design is still not very expressive.

A nicely polished and very conservative episode, I'm happy with this!
Shimanuki and Ishikawa's touch seemed almost nonexistent, only being noticeable in very few shots (I'm not even 100% sure Ishikawa was even on this one, but a handful of shots looked like him) and it seemed like most of the episode was dominated by a style I don't really recognize, very interesting. Shimanuki's stuff also seemed to be a mix of some really nice stuff and some stuff that seemed pretty rushed despite how little he he seemed to be on this episode. VERY, VERY interesting...
It also reused some animation from 47 with Vegeta and Whis, smart.
And while conservatively animated the Hit stuff when he was on his assassination contract in that city was awesomely directed.
Interested in seeing the full credits.

Not sure how I feel about that NEP.

This episode had some nice story boarding. They also reused animation in pretty smart ways. Both the reuse of episode 47 information and the fact that they reused the starting animation at the end was pretty smart.

Wow. That was a... damn great looking episode given the standard of filler episodes, and especially after the last episode. Everything was incredibly polished and animation was used in a conservative but also effective way.

The NEP shows pure, unfiltered Tate and I can't wait. :mrgreen:

I'd like to see the staff list. Good episode, some rough art in the first part but nothing bad. Goku and Hit scenes were Shimanuki, also some parts of Vegeta's training.
I need images of SSB Goku from this ep. He was done really well

That was a very smart episode. Reusing action scenes from episode 47 for some of Vegeta's training scenes rather than animating their own sure made me happy.

Very much an Ishikawa episode; he really dominated the episode. Shimanuki's presence only really seemed to be felt during the cold opening and the serious moments in the second half (Vegeta's training, too).

I was pretty sure I saw Yukihiro Kitano in there, but turned out to just be Takeo Ide. He did some of the bits on Beerus' planet in the first half.

Kenji Miuma's back. Not 100% on what he did, but I'd hazard a guess that it was probably the stuff at the end, with corrections by Shimanuki, perhaps.

Next week. Oh boy, you'll have to be calming me down next week, I'm sure. SO. MUCH. TATE. It looked so raw and untouched and beautiful and ahhhh.

Collective fandom meltdown incoming as always, though. Seeing it already. Save me from it.

Ok so now i can deal with great animation and all, but come on... I love Naoki Tate when he is doing his things, but not to that extent. Episode 26 (a part),38, 47 and 56 (b part) are perfect exemples of how much i love Tate.
However, this... I can't stand it. I mean, come on, it's just a close-up and it looks so much off-model. I'm all with Tate when it comes to animation, but when it comes to basic pose with no movement at all, it really sucks.
I'm really scared about next week episode, honestly, and that's the first time i'm scared about an episode from Tate.

Really? It seemed like there was very little Ishikawa to me.
This size of the staff list is surprising to me with how conservative the episode was, I guess it was just so nobody had to do too much. I hope all the episodes in January are super conservative too, with every conservative episode I continue to feel good about the next arc.

I actually don't mind that shot. The Goku shot is worse imo. I'm not worried though. Although I usually prefer medium art and medium animation over amazing animation and bad art, I think Tate can be a breath of fresh air and I love seeing him every now and then.
