Based on the production the new arc could suck.

because I don't think there's any way this arc in Super will be able to live up to its own hype, I'm very worried that they won't be able to manage their resources with this many possible fights and make them look good. I don't even know WHY they're being this ambitious. The production can't handle that much, remeber how the half of u6 fights looked shit, then Magetta vs Vegeta happened and that looked fine up until Goku vs Hit then in ep 41 it looked like ass again. Now with this bigger tournament, with more fighters how will it consistently look good or even decent?

They have 2 months to prepare for this..
They didn't even put work for trailer animation to work for main product presumably..
It's not possible for them to screw up big time with it..
Obviously don't expect spotless animation throughout the arc, but they are definitely gonna make it good where it counts

You will be surprised, they are hyping this up big time.

Those great fights that we saw in the Future Trunks arc were done by great animators but when it came to filler or dialogue scenes we got bad animation, this just proves that Super is very inconsistent because of bad schedules and production issues

We don't know what kind of work they've been doing behind the scenes for this arc, but the fact that they are doing 11 weeks of filler seems to be a good sign.

It is too early to say that it would suck. But, from the little info we have gotten so far it feels like the arc will be a big, grand tournament and unless there's some twist it'll be a pure-action arc. So, yeah I'm worried too. I think it's best to keep expectations low.

If at least the crucial episodes/battles get memorable moments animation and direction wise that'll be good. As for consistency, it's not happening. Long running series' production schedule is anything but consistent. Yes, very few are as bad as Super, but I don't think maintaining consistency is possible.

The animation of Super got a consistent increase in quality since the Zamasu arc started. While there's still some off model shots, most of the fights that arc were well animated. I expect the same here

If we can get more than one episode that's even half as good as EP 66, I'll be more than satisfied.

True, but I think it's important to consider that the Future Trunks arc's story catered very well to a troubled production like Super's.

Not only were there several dialogue-heavy episodes, they could (and did) easily write around any need to create episode after episode of action until it really counted.

A tournament, unless there's a side plot-line and/or lengthy breaks betweens matches, demands episode after episode of action. That's incredibly demanding on even the best of productions.

Unfortunately, we saw the results of this type of structure in the Universe 6 tournament. Aside from a few moments here and there, the action wasn't very good, and in some cases, was outright poor.

My hope is that there is a long period of lead-in time, plenty of breaks between matches, and some side-stories to allow the production to get a hold on things, and really produce great episodes for the fights involving our universe.

You mean based on how beautiful 71 was?
Yes indeed 71 is an indicator for the best things that will come.
