That's what should have happened, but go back and watch the episode at face value, it's not actually the case. Whis specifically says that he planned to fix Trunks' timeline, and afterwards, Gowasu is still only shown to have 5 alternate rings. The timeline Whis created couldn't have been it, because it was explained earlier in the episode that that ring had come from Beerus' actions against Zamasu. I agree with you that what you said should have been the result, but Toriyama and Toei both have negative amounts of comprehension, so that's not how it panned out.HeroR wrote:His timeline wasn't fixed at all. All Whis did was create another timeline similar to his without Black and Future Zamasu. The world he fought so hard to save is gone, along with all the people he failed. And the new timeline will have their own version of Trunks and Mai. And Beerus said that Whis' actions will create a new Time Ring.Jinzoningen MULE wrote: But he immediately had that timeline fixed (Whis' actions don't create a new time ring, he fixed Trunks' timeline, go back & watch the episode. No, Whis outright says that a new timeline is being made. The scene of Gowasu putting the ring away was likely before the new timeline was made.Jinzoningen MULE wrote: That's what should have happened, but go back and watch the episode at face value, it's not actually the case. Checking the episode now (even though I literally just watched). Will retract if I'm wrong. See ya in 30ArchedThunder wrote:No, Whis outright says that a new timeline is being made. Follow-up: Actually, we're sort of both right, it's ambiguous. Beerus says that altering time will make more rings (Rightfully so). But Whis says that he'll be fixing Trunks' timeline. Moreover, the Gowasu scene left the impression that all was said and done. No more time shennanigans. But maybe that's an inconsistency between the symbolism and order of events.
In conclusion: Maybe?
Basically the same as everything else that came out of that mess.

All Whis said that he can restore Trunks' time before it destroyed by warning Future Beerus of Black and Future Zamasu. Beerus outright said that Whis will create a new timeline. Whis confirmed it by saying that Trunks and Mai will be living with doubles of themselves. So Whis didn't fix anything. He just made a close enough timeline.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:That's what should have happened, but go back and watch the episode at face value, it's not actually the case. Yeah, there's no talk about fixing anything. Not only that but the Gowasu scene happens before they even leave for the future so how can you come to that conclusion of yours?

So that manga preview was everything we're going to see about the new arc or there is still something else coming?

Universe 10 may or may not survive but i doubt that has anything to do with it. The time rings seem to lead to a fluid possible future rather than something concrete.Kanassa wrote:Gowasu and Zamasu travelled forward in time, past when the tournament would take place and found Universe 10 still intact.ekrolo2 wrote:Universe 10 survives for sure? Regardless I'm 99% sure that was Toriyama being Toriyama and not looking ahead rather than dropping a hint.

Whis and Beerus are pretty clear that this will create a new timeline and time ring.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:Checking the episode now (even though I literally just watched). Will retract if I'm wrong. They made that obvious by stating the fact that there will be another Future Trunks and Future Trunks in it.

There would be 2 of them regardless, because they're still going back in time. It's irrelevant. Come to think of it, why isn't Supreme Kai fighting in this tournament? Isn't his existence at stake too given the entire universe would be wiped out?
I thought he was around Perfect Cell's strength, so he'd certainly be a better choice for a fighter than the humans or even the Androids.

Hi there guys! I've just published my interview to Masaki Satō in Hobby Consolas. I asked him a couple of questions regarding Dragon Ball Super and he didn't have any problem to answer them. I share it with you, but it's in Spanish, so I'm sure you'll get an English translation pretty soon (I think AnimeAjay and HonestAnime are behind it, given that they tweeted me earlier talking about that) http://www.hobbyconsolas.com/reportajes ... ntent=none
I hope you like it and feel free to share it :

Great, if nobody translates it then I can do it later.
Basically he says he will be happy to work in Super but doesn't have a lot of hopes that he will. I'd be glad if he works in DB again, he could be the CD replacing Yamamuro.

I will translate as well, as Spanish is my native language:
'I'm not involved in Super, but it does not give me the same feeling as the series that we did. At the time I did my job, Dragon Ball was quite unknown. I read the volumes to know the world of Dragon Ball (which I still reread from time to time and I still like!).
I don't know much about Super, but since it does not come from a manga, there is no concrete guide to creating the episodes (misread as capítulos). Apart from Goku and Vegeta, who have become very powerful, it seems that the other characters are not up to par. It is also difficult to know if Goku and Vegeta are on equal in strength. As neither I nor my friends are involved in the project, it is difficult to know what the future holds for Super.''
Does anyone else think that the order the characters are in the poster and preview video mayean something. It could mean the order of a 1 vs 1 fight with Buu 1, Piccolo 8, Vegeta 9, Goku 10. It could mean the order of relevance or something similar. Posters usually say something about what is goimg to happen apart from the Future Trunks arc.

Doubt it, U6 arc's poster showed Boo teased he will also fight and included in the tournament but got removed even before it started and had an early handicap of a 4v5 battle.namekiansaiyan wrote:Does anyone else think that the order the characters are in the poster and preview video mayean something. I assume only ningen can participate. Well, let's say only non-gods, I'm not sure if Buu can be considered ningen.precita wrote:Come to think of it, why isn't Supreme Kai fighting in this tournament? Isn't his existence at stake too given the entire universe would be wiped out?

But look at the order of the participants on. Also the first poster from june 2015 had Piccolo, Vegeta and Goku in the middle with Champa holding the earth. The grand priest obviously plays a huge role. All I am saying is that the order for the trailer and poster is the same. We will see soon.SansrivaaL wrote:Doubt it, U6 arc's poster showed Boo teased he will also fight and included in the tournament but got removed even before it started and had an early handicap of a 4v5 battle.namekiansaiyan wrote:Does anyone else think that the order the characters are in the poster and preview video mayean something.
