Its flat out said that Son Goku is a fighting genius. He's skilled, has strategy, and battle smart. Piccolo comments that Son fights like his clan at the 23rd Tournament. So basically it was "Namekian style" VS "Namekian style."
Son won because he used the flying technique in a strategical way. Nobody was expecting it, so my conclusion is that Son Goku is Over Powered. (That loveable goofball)

Goku has been noted to be a genius when it comes to battles, Vegeta notes this, freaking Beerus the God of Destruction with millions of years of experience notes this and yes even Piccolo has noted this, Piccolo's barely done anything to be even called a genius, how can you say that he has more skill than Goku especially in super where he barely had any fights that showed he's a genius. Goku's shown a lot of skills in these recent games, like throwing Botamo out (even Piccolo was in awe) anticipates Hit's move before he even makes it, while the only thing Piccolo's done is dodge Frost's beams if you'd like to call those as skills.

If Goku had the same power level as Piccolo when he faced Frost would he been able to charge his attack and block with 1 hand. I don't think he could.

I'm not saying its a bad skill, I'm saying its a skill that literally every Z-warrior knows, but anticipating your opponents next move? nope, even Vegeta thats next to Goku in power and is also a tactician and smart to top that made it sound like he couldnt do it.

Its natural for Piccolo to do these sort of things whereas Vegeta thinks about punching and kicking hard first. Being smart is one thing, but being the smartest is another thing, which many of us would agree Piccolo is.

Only 9 new Kaioshins since we already met Gowasu.

And we (probably) know Champa's team so there's a few to subtract from there as well.

You contradict yourself as you said said the story always dictates but then start saying Piccolo and Tien are usuless becuase they did nothing. That was the story fault. You are the same person who says that anyone not named Goku and Vegeta is useless because of themsleves and not Toriyama. You are not speakinh consistently.

To sum my other post up, it is basically saying that the story disguises other characters true skill and over hypes Goku's a lot.

How did I contradict myself? I said story always dictates who wins a battle, so it's pointless to used a story narrative as an argument for anything. So narrative reasons for anything should be discounted in this kind of debate and only in-universe reasons should be giving, which is my point.

In-universe, Tien and Piccolo have done nothing except train to bridge the power gap between them and their enemies. That has done almost nothing for Tien and Piccolo's involvement in battle is really lackluster. He actually comes off much better when he's on the side doing planning like in the Buu Saga. When I said that characters are useless because of themselves it's because I don't used story narrative as an excuse for characters being useless since there can be no debate if we just say, 'it's story' because everything will be literally, 'Goku is only stronger because of story', 'Gohan only have hidden power because of story', 'Piccolo is only smart because of story', 'Roshi is only in the next story arc because of story'.

There's no debate to be have if we're just going to blame the story since it shuts down everything.

The problem is, this opinion is factually wrong. We have seen Goku beat people who are supposedly more skilled than him like Tien and Piccolo. So saying Goku is only power with little natural instinct is just your bias towards the character.

If Goku was put in the same situation against Frost, he would have done what he did against Cell and Beerus. He would charged his Kamehameha to the max, used his Instant Transmission to dodged and evade, and then fire a point-blank blast in Frost's face. Much more efficient then what Piccolo had to do, especially since that is what he did against Pikkon in the Otherworld Tournament if you want to count filler.

Goku isn't just powerful. He and piccolo are the most skilled fighters of all.
I fact Goku did sacrificed himself against Raditz, using Piccolo's tecnique. The same tatic Piccolo used against Frost. But Goku can't enlarge his arms like Piccolo, so it would be impossible to make the same move against Frost because of his nature limitation, not his skills.

What's everyone's thoughts on the third God of destruction on the left side has a big pointed hat instead of the bandana-looking hats all the other gods have.
My guess is he's the strongest god. Assuming they're standing in order with Uni 7 front left, that would make him Uni 9's god.

Yeah I noticed that too. He also seems to be really tiny lol. As for the huge GoD, I'm not totally sure but he/she clearly has a big back or butt lol. Buffalo? Elephant? Camel? Haha

I know you guys are probably joking, but I don't think it's a cat because the ears don't stick out in the same way Beerus and Champa do. Then again, it could be a different breed of cat but I doubt it.
