Dragonball Z Sparking! Meteor
Next Gen Graphics? It's dragon ball... how good do the graphics need to be? We should get George Lucas to design a DBZ Simulator ride at some themepark... XD.
Destructable arenas aren't difficult to make... although displaying them correctly might be. Huge craters the size of Texas? Well... umm... why not? And like I said before, if it gets too big, just throw in rising lava or some such "ZOMG the planet is being destroyed!" effects.

All of my characters have items assigned to them. The way that I know that I'm not getting Evolution Z'ed characters is that my characters are maxed out. Everyone at Level 160 and when they fight I can see that the health is normal.Leotaku wrote:The thing with that may be that the random character it selected didn't have anything equipped from Evolution Z before, and it didn't choose any random items for you. Maybe it would've worked if the character it randomly selected already had some items equipped from before.Anonymous Friend wrote:Also, they need to fix the Random Selecter. I'll tell it to chose a random custom character and they're not custom.
It's just a guess though. I never actually tried it to see how it happens.
I'm kinda surprised that no one's looking for Alternate Timeline characters this time around. I would really like to still see a one-armed Gohan.

I'm a bit late to this party but I'm actually pretty hyped here. I did - NOT- Like the first Sparking game on the PS2, I rented it to play with a cousin, he loved it, it made me go ick.
When I got the Wii last year DBZ Sparking Neo (Or BT2 as the box art says but with my settigns on the game set to Japanese voices I always hear Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo chosen at random saying sparking neo) was something I bought just because I could....and its actually....reallly reallly good. I know tis just a controller configuration diffrence, but that made it that much more fun for me. Maybe I'm a nutjob. But anyway I am looking forward to it being updated even just with more characters. Hell even X Play who is notorious for hating DBZ games gave BT2 fighting game of the year 2006.

Music that plays the whole way through, and not just snippets would be nice.

The Auras in B3 And Sparking NEO look almost the same i prefer the more realistic element lookin auras in Sparking NEO for its probably the only thing along with the energy attacks that can look realistic in a DBZ game without looking wierd and out of place and I'm sure there gonna look even better this time around with the improved shading techniques!!!SuperSaiyan3Goku wrote:The animations and awesome-looking auras (Spelling, please) from Budokai 3 would be VERY awesome!
I use a screenreader. You don't use periods. Have you wondered what it would sound like for the computer to take a breath in the middle of a sentence? ^^.Cure-Black wrote:

Well... supposedly Toriyama is involved in features for DBO; would that decrease the chances of him contributing to Sparking! Meteor?

Fortunately, Toriyama has never provided designs for the Sparking! games.
I take it you haven't seen screenshots for Blue Dragon. I'd love to see the threads on Goku's gi, or having his hair show a bit more texture. It'd be cool to have photorealistic environments as well (similar to Blue Dragon). I think it would compliment Toriyama's designs very well.Next Gen Graphics? In my opinion, we're not quite at the point where a screenshot of one of these games actually looks like it could be an illustration by Toriyama.Sebastian (SB) wrote:I'd love to see the threads on Goku's gi, or having his hair show a bit more texture. When we get there, yes, maybe it would be interesting to see what else we can do. In the time being...
I think having Toriyama doing DBO might actually increase the chances of him contributing to Sparking! Meteor, cause he might have to drop in to submit some pictures of stuff to the company and Spike might ask him to help while he is in the building...

I might've been the only one (or one of a few) that actually LOVED Sparking! NEO. I played it for hours upon hours after I unlocked everything. I have a feeling that even if this game were merely more of the same (characters, stages) then I'd still play hours upon hours of this title. But since it's more of the same, in addition to improved features, I'm sure this one will be a permanent addition to my library and will be something I will play for years to come.
Hell... I could probably pick up and play Sparking! NEO right now, I'd have a lot of fun with it. The same could not be said after the announcement of the sequels to Budokai 1, 2, 3, or the original Sparking!. So, regardless of this being the sixth game to be released on a yearly basis for PS2, I'm proper excited for it. Even if I'm the only one.

I was Thanos before the MCU existed!
Eh... Blue Dragon's characters look like clay dolls. The graphics and amazing and all, but they're similar to Budokai 1's, and don't try to simulate an anime. They're comparable to the CG characters in BT's intro, and I really prefer the in-game models of BT2 to those models in the intro.I take it you haven't seen screenshots for Blue Dragon. I rented the original Sparking and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would have actually bought the damn game if it weren't for the few audio glitches I found in the Japanese track, but by the time it was Greatest Hits (I rarely pay full price for games unless they truely merit a purchase at launch), Sparking NEO was well on it's way. For the past couple of months I have been looking for the opportunity to pick it up...and now my enthusiasm has all but left with this announcement. I even have a genuine interest in the games, but they are coming out too fast. I might just pick up NEO anyways as soon as the price drops on that, and just wait on a price drop on Meteor before getting that. Hell, I just got the original Shin Budokai the other day because it was 15 bucks as opposed to the 40 SB2 woulda cost me.
I hate that Cold gets to use Trunks' sword. What the hell is that about? I say he shouldn't be able to unless he beats Trunks in an AU/What If mode first.Anonymous Friend wrote:I not sure if this picture has been shown here or not (13 pages is a lot) but here goes:

Someone on another site said that there was a possibility of a kid Krillin. Some gaming mag made a mention of it.

I think that's kinda the point. It looks similar to a Pixar movie, but not exactly. I personally like the effect. I don't see the B1 nor BT similarity though. Also, it's not suppose to simulate an anime.Neon Z wrote:

I agree, but I think he's designs are very dynamic, thus it makes it more difficult to get a faithful representation of Toriyama's designs. Super DBZ & DQVIII were pretty close though.Olivier Hague wrote:In my opinion, we're not quite at the point where a screenshot of one of these games actually looks like it could be an illustration by Toriyama.
