So trunks had that much potential stored in him? How come he is not the Saiyan with most potential if getting angry gives you that form..
How come Vegeta didn't become SSikari when bulma was slapped to the ground..
This doesn't make sense or disclose anything about the form, all super Saiyan forms except few are normally rage transformations anyway

I guess maybe his "mutated SSj2" against Beerus was an "almost but not quite" transformation into the form Trunks got? They're both "someone with SSj2 suddenly becomes MUCH stronger due to rage" situations, after all.

Maybe there's a minimum level of power you need for it, and Vegeta at that time was still short of that level while Trunks (being apparently stronger than Goku in base form, just lacking SSj3 and the god forms) was not. Or maybe you need to have developed at least a "spark" of godly ki in you -- either due to fighting gods or retaining at least some god power after the SSj God ritual -- before being able to reach this form, which Trunks got through his encounters with Black and/or Goku. Vegeta wouldn't have had that at the time he clashed with Beerus, only afterward.

Maybe, maybe, maybe... This shouldn't be the way for us to explain stuff... And no, it's not like Super Saiyan 2 or 3 first appearance. There we got already the "little" info that it is going beyond and on top on that character reaction panels of saying how unbelievable it is or like Future Trunks himself said, that Gohan did it right.

For Super Trunks we got nothing... Not even his father reacted to it asking what the hell is going on and what this blue aura is... If it like Goku and Vegeta knew this form... but Heroes and Dokkan were the last hope to explain this but we got nothing besides rage... The fan theories about it being the first step of gaining Blue and maybe Vegeta has done it like this at Whis training or that it is a demi god transformation unique to hybrids was far better than just RAGE...

I doubt a new Daizenshuu will be released to explain it... So we have to accept that it was an asspull.

but if I can bring up a MAYBE... Maybe Gohan will gain something similar and they will finally explain it

Practically all the new transformations are asspull, to be honest. While Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan's concept is not asspull, the color of the hair definitely is.

Vegeta not getting Super Saiyan Rage can be answered by a lot of different ways, we won't know the real reason, for change.

Gohan is a strong candidate to achieve it too, as he's the one most associated with the "anger" thing. Unless mommy Bulma said to Trunks before dying that Trunks is a special boy, therefore he'd the only one that will have this transformation. If Gohan gets it, maybe there will be another chance of explanation but I wouldn't put my hopes so high... Actually I wouldn't even consider this as an option.

I also doubt they will release any further guide, let alone covering and talking in detail about Future Trunks saga, and more precisely, his new transformation. If this form makes its way to the next chapter of Toyotaro's manga, then... Who knows? But I also recommend that you must not expect this as there there's "Powered up Super Saiyan 2" seen during his sparring with Super Saiyan 3 Goku.

In short, "Super Saiyan Rage" will be all that we'll have for a long time. We should get used to it quickly.

Yeah, they definitely haven't explained it as well as the other forms were when they were first introduced.

Gohan's SSj2 being the right way to gain power after SSj in contrast to the bulked-up forms we'd been seeing throughout the Cell Saga and SSj Blue being "Super Saiyan but with Super Saiyan God's power" were established pretty well as soon as they were introduced... SSj3 not quite as much so, but with it being the weird new form Goku discovered during his seven years of dead-guy training that everyone's kind of surprised even exists, that kinda works for it.

Gohan got his asspull Ultimate power but this one was at least a bit explained.

While I hope it is gone for good cuz I think it doesn't work with the SSB god cenpst anymore I have somehow the feeling that they will reuse it for some new for exclusive to Gohan.
