Does Ikari translate into Fury or Wrath?

I would like Super Saiyan Fury or Wrath because then we wouldn't have SSJR and SSJR.



I low-key still like Super Saiyan Demigod or Super Saiyan Blue Super Saiyan. There was enough backlash after the dumb naming of SSGSS that it became SSB. I feel like this will have a similar result.

My only explanation for Trunks transformation was that u need to suffer to the point u reach the breaking point, Trunks got it because he wanted to save his timeline so badly and well because Zamasu and Black were provoking him for being the one responsible for the destruction of his timeline.

In Gohans case, it would be his determination of protecting his family(he said it way back in FnF).

There's no 1:1 translation if you desire that. "Anger" is the most literal interpretation for English but a translator doesn't have to go that route. If all you want is accuracy, then "Anger" would be okay.

Do we write SSJR or SSJI for the form? The R version clashes with Rosé, but you need to know what "ikari" means for SSJI to work properly.

It makes the most sense to just call it SSA, since "Anger" is the most direct translation and was even used for the official URL if I'm not mistaken.

Sadly, Super Saiyan Anger doesn't flow well to me. None of these do ... it just sounds like the Rage of a Super Saiyan instead of a form name.

That kind of makes sense. Goku and Vegeta got the Blue God Ki from keeping their ki inside. Maybe Trunks let all of his ki out and that is how he may have partially unlocked it. Crap, I have literally no clue what I am saying.

Vegeta unlocked SSJ Ikari way back in the BoG Arc due to Beerus hurting Bulma, and also showed how much Vegeta loved her. The differences between SSJB and SSJ Ikari is that for SSJB u need a calm heart according to Whiss, for SSJ Ikari is probably for people that have suffered a lot in their life and powerup troughout rage (Trunks and soon Gohan).

What do you mean? The yellow aura is obviously because that's a Super Saiyan transformation. We just don't know what the blue thing is.

I'd prefer this form to be called at least Super Saiyan 2 Rage or something like that, not only it would explain the lightnings, it would be better because Super Saiyan 2 is the strongest transformation of Trunks, and he has rage that activates whatever that blue thing is.

Or they should just give this man the Super Saiyan 3 already to leave things as easy as possible!

I don't think Super Saiyan 2 can have a Grade 3 form. SS2 = SS1 Grade 5 and SS3 = SS1 Grade 6.

After Goku fought Beerus as SSG, he had a Super-Saiyan-God-powered Super Saiyan form. This could be called SSGSS, which I like to do since it uses an established name, and differentiates it from SSB. I think Goku and Vegeta unlocked Blue God Ki by practicing perfect Ki Control. They then used this in their SSGSS forms.

Or, maybe there is a threshold where blue ki emerges and Goku, Vegeta, and Future Trunks cross over it.

Vegeta's hair and aura didn't change, he just had a regular rage boost.

I find it rather fitting and it kind of suits Trunks. He's life a match darker and crueler life then any other of the caste have had, the rage within him puts even Gohan's to shame.

I'm starting to think that Super Saiyan Rage is Super Saiyan Blue, but for half-breeds. ... But we have never seen any form that only half-breeds could achieve (Ultimate Gohan doesn't count since Old Kai never offered to unlock anyone else).

We may never know what it was. Honestly, Toei had every opportunity during the airing of that arc to at least provide some kind of description for the form and they squandered it every single time. There might be something in an official guidebook somewhere down the line (though I certainly wouldn't count on it) but I can't see it ever being explained in the show proper at this point.
