Probably a new character, like Hit. I still think it's weird seeing that people still have not accepted the fact that people like the Earthlings and Piccolo will not have some big role where they get "God power x1000000" and surpass Goku and Vegeta for an episode.

Gohan will though.

Yamucha as a bandit or Tenshinhan's training under the Crane Hermit.

Eh, this is a thread about who should get their own arc rather than who will so I think it's perfectly fine.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

We are a little 20 years too late for that.

In this case it definitely is, they themselves barely got one important arc in all these years

Naruto always goes back in time for filler episodes so they could do that in Super.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I was mostly joking, but I wouldn't be opposed to what sintzu said.

Ya, super needs filler arcs anyways, back stories wouldn't be so bad for one or two, as long as they don't overdo it like naruto did, like nobody cares what that one kid did who we will never ever see again XD

It's a trope that I'm sick of in Naruto, but whenever two guys fight, we always get to know some of their backstories and see their determination and reason for fighting.

I would love to see something like that in DBS though. I love the OG characters anyways, so a flashback with Tenshinhan or #17 is something I'd love to see in the new arc.

seconding expanding upon 17 and 18's backstory. I'd also really like to see the series delve more into their current state. how do they feel about their past? how do they deal with it? there's emotional depth there that was never explored at all, despite being teased loosely, especially in the Buu Saga. like is 18 so cold to Goku when they first meet? because he reminds her of all the terrible things Gero did to her and 17. why does she blush when Krillin says he loves her? because most of her life was terrible and she never received any affection, so she doesn't know how to react to it.

this stuff is there but it's never really explored, and I find that quite unfortunate. hopefully 17 and 18 are more involved in this upcoming arc.
