It's just a silly two part "filler" it's not a big come back at all especially since the first episode has a side plot involving Jaco. Now if he had something similar to the Goku hit thing that would be a big comeback but we've had Gohan episodes like this before.
That's not really the point. Gohan was basically sidelined for 30 episodes following the end of the Resurrection F arc, only appearing in less than a handful of individual episodes for nearly a year now. For him to have consistently shown up in every episode since 67 (minus the Arale episode) and have the next two episodes dedicated specifically to him is definitely a big deal.
Plus he's in the next arc. Even if he's not a main character it's a huge rise from what we received.
A huge, much needed and appreciated rise..
We finally get to have more gohan, now that trunks is gone gohan can shine if the story wants
The Lord moves in mysterious ways but you don't have to. Please use your blinker
There is a small hope Gohan gets the same treatment Mirai Trunks got once he unlocks SSJ IKari, since he also "trained" with a Kaioshin just like Trunks did so thats why they get access to that transformation?
With Pan looking to be vital in Watagushis defeat, more and more clear seems that she will be a Main Character once we go beyond EoZ, Watagushi will be the 2nd antagonist she defeats(Of course I'm including she outsmarting the Pilaf gang as her first win).

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Yep, the fact that he's back in his fighting uniform feels like a miracle after Toriyama's comments several months ago.

A solo Goten arc will happen only in my dreams.
Lets be honest, who expected Gohan to have his own mini Arc like Hit got?
It could actually happen, and Goten showed some personality in the Hit mini arc.
I'm sticking with my prediction of Champa asking Beerus if he could borrow some U7 guys to fill in his team, so we get Trunks and Goten fight in the Multiverse Tournament

These upcoming episodes will have no connection to the future like Hit vs Goku will.
5 new fighters for Universe 6 and should definitely include a Namekian and a Earthling.

Goten had a decent role in the Copy-Vegeta arc I guess...
For people still complaining about Trunks and Goten not being in the team I think a reason why is becuase they don't have any real historic status and are apart of the new generation.
Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Tien, Krillin Gohan and Roshi have historical status in the series so they get into the team.
Buu, 17 and 18 are better fighters so get into the team.
Yamcha should be the only complaint and maybe replacing Roshi.

Makes u wonder why Champa and Vados didnt bother bringing an earthling or Namekian for the baseball game, i guess because they are very weak?
The Episodes after the Gohan Mini Arc, should be focused on either re-introducing 17 or about the Z fighters preparing themselves for the Multiversal tournament.

Ya, training needs to be shown as an episode, it would make their achievements in tournament lot more believable

Toei are not going to spoil the other members of team Universe 6 in that episode. Episodes 75 and 76 should definitely be about 17. Episode 77 should be the formal announcment of the tournament and then I would like at least episodes 78-82 to be training episodes.
Honestly the Goten mini arc I'd like to see is the one that resulted in his EoZ haircut. What finally pushes him over being confused for Gokû to get his own individual style? Is it something funny or frustrating? Or both?

Because they most likely don't know about the ten men team. Why would he?

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

I don't know why anyone's expecting training episodes before February 5th. That's when the arc will start so why would there be any training before it?

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Because most people assume that the first episode of this arc is the day of the tournament straight, a silly assumption in my view as they would need time to introduce new Gods, recruit member for their team and of course, training.
