What are you expecting from this new arc?

Gohan and Piccolo to get at least one good fight and win.

A good amount of the fighters to be nobodies so the main ones will be 4-5 from each universe.

It'll lead to a visit to U6's Saiyan planet.

Goku or someone else will convince Zeno not to destroy the universes.

There'll be something else going on behind the scenes.

Goku and Vegeta won't get a new Ssj form.

I fear the animation is gonna train wreck when they can't keep up with fights week after week. At least with the Zamasu arc they could take breaks via time travel.

I don't think we're getting any new forms. Maybe kaioken blue will return?

I do think Gohan will get a big role because the setup feels that way, but I could be wrong.

I want to see Vegeta's kingly Uni 6 counterpart of King Salada.

I'm still gonna hope that the arc after this is Planet Salad, but it probably won't be. My luck with Super is running low as of late.

Agreed. I had low expectations for the Future Trunks arc when I first heard about and even low expectations when I heard about Goku Black, but I ended loving so much primarily because of that. I really didn't expect anything great from that arc.

. A new Saiyan form either through a loop hole like SSGSSKK or just a flat out new one.
. More excellent and interesting world building.
. Good new character designs.

. Talking and reaction shots between battles.
. With two months of TOC (toei original content) I expect the arc to look overall even better then the previous arc.
. Shida to lift us up when the arc will no did hit a dud with a fantastic cut.
. More Z throwbacks and flashbacks.
. Gohan to be boring as ever.
. Good character interaction.
. Goku and Vegeta being top tier.
. Bulma to be involved somewhere and somehow.
. Ending on a typical Toriyama twist (BoG ended with Goku losing and the Universe drops, U6 arc ended with Goku and Hit forfeiting, Trunks arc ending not being the flat out happy ending.) I reckon it'll be no universes were destroyed it was all a "trick".
. Fans having considerable expectations and moan when they aren't met.

It's Goku and Vegeta, they are battle driven so that's expected. I'm sure some will while others will not. 17 and 18 are background characters at this point, but yeah an explanation would be nice for 17's absence. I just think of him as a loner akin to Tien. Gohan just isn't as driven and will only compete when it's necessary, I like him like everyone else but we have to accept it for what it is. Trunks and Goten are good characters, people just cloud their judgment on them due to being children. Goten is very underrated and I relate to his character, people say he's a Goku clone because they look on the surface but he is vastly different from his father, while sharing some similarities. Goten is humble, he respects others and very mannerable, and one of the most selfless characters in the series and always willing to himself in harms danger for others, I don't see how one cannot at least respect that aspect of him. I just don't see what is wrong with him at all. He's always been more battle driven than his older brother Gohan for what it's worth. Sure Super messed with him but man the feels he evokes out of you in DBZ. Goten over Yamcha anyday. Yamcha was cool in DragonBall but no way now he's just too pansy these days. Although we know they survive doesn't mean the arc itself doesn't have potential to be good so whatever the stakes are can still be good.

I understand those first two are the main fighters. Still doesn't make me feel any better in my predictions that they'll completely dominate this arc just like every other one before this in Super. 17 being brought back led me to think he might get something to do but aside from maybe a decent fight that he'll likely lose since he's not a Saiyan or either of those two, I just don't see him having anything redeeming in returning after all this time. Goten's a character I don't like because he starts out as a Goku clone and then only really grows into the other half of Trunks for Gotenks. That was the only thing about his character that I liked in GT, that the two felt more unique to each other and not just fusion buddies. I see him as Gohan without showing potential beforehand, since we had the latter for much longer and it was built up for a longer time that he was the one that would eventually take over. Trunks, both present and future, always interested me in just how different their characters were from the happy go lucky thing that I feel Goten takes from Goku almost entirely but without the rationale of being an original character, in the sense that Goku was the one who started the trend in the series.

- Bra's finally appearance.
- Goten, Trunks and Marron taller.

I can't imagine any of these happening. I seriously wish they would, I've been waiting for them to happen since after the Champa arc, but no matter how much wishful thinking I do, I just don't see them happening before after this arc.

As for my own expectations: I expect absolutely nothing. That way I can be positively surprised.

I expect it to be mildly entertaining. There'll be plot elements that people won't agree with, but it'll at the very least be interesting to watch. Also, Champa being absolutely hilarious. But, I am worried about the animation to get gimped even more considering how many new projects Toei is getting right now, though I'm sure Shida will pull off something pretty amazing hopefully.

What I hope is that they utilize that cast to the fullest with their interactions and have their moments to shine besides Goku and Vegeta. But, I'm not expecting it. It'll be nice, if it does happen.

Nothing. Tournament sagas are the most boring sagas for me as long as I do not have a manga volume to read them. So I expect Super after the Zamas saga to revert back to a "good show but that's it" for me.

I think it'll start as a normal arc and then we will see that he has been plotting to take command from Omni King(s). I'm hoping he tries to take their place somehow while the tournament is going on. Or maybe he just tries to gain some kind of power or something while they are distracted by the tournament.

I mean, it could very well just be a tournament. But they did that already, so I feel like it's going to have a huge twist. He seems to have a big importance on the arc though.

I expect it to be a Hunger Games like tournament, battle ground will probably be an entire planet. Universes will be destroyed, it's no trick. Zeno is the real deal he is no prankster
I expect it to show some character developments for our 10 fighters, it shouldn't be easy to kill other entrants knowing their universes will be wiped out. I also expect huge twists and hopefully Gods rebelling against the two Zenos, or maybe the Zenos will kill eachothers and the Grand Priest will become the true villain of the arc somehow?

I expect lots of fights, transformations, awesome character designs by Toriyama, good animation and a enemy that threatens this timeline...

I expect it to be just a plain tournament; no villain, but we'll probably see something unexpected. The two Zen’ō will probably come to disagreement due to the whole universe destruction thing. Present Zen’ō will get convinced by Goku but Future Zen’ō won't. I except some excellent world building and lots of new interesting and fun things.

They'll likely change the title card, eye-catch, and the next episode preview music. There will probably some new piece of goods from Sumitomo, but we'll get the same lackluster sound effects.

I'm looking forward for an Earthling and a Namekian for the Universe 6 Team. Frost will have his own version of "Ultimate evolution" (Perhaps a silver form?), and Cabba will have Super Saiyan Blue due to training with Vados. I expect them to lose to the universe that will ultimately face Universe 7. I predict that Universe 9 will be the strongest universe, and maybe its universe God of Destruction or Beerus will turn out to be the strongest.

I expect the animation of the arc as a whole to be at least on the level of the Champa Arc. At best, we'll probably get an episode that's about as good #66 in the climax of the arc, but we'll also get some bad looking episodes.

Everyone will get trained by Whis, Goku will probably use Kaiō-ken again, and Gohan will repossess his ultimate state. We'll get some cool fights, however there will probably be some things that won't make much sense regarding the power scaling. We'll see some old techniques return like Hell Zone Grenade and a lot of Z callbacks.

I expect some cool designs, especially for the God of Destruction and Angels. Gowasu will be there with his new apprentice. One of the God of Destruction is probably not on good terms with either Champa or Beerus, or both. All Kaioshin and Kaio that will appear will have Mowhawk. There will be lot of new characters, but most of them will be irrelevant and have generic designs. Some of them will have really cool and unique abilities.

I think some of our heroes will develop friendship from some fighter from another universe or one of the gods, especially Goku.

And lastly, I except bitching from fans as usual, especially if someone like Gohan will lose.

Good point! Yet, he is shown very prominently in the teaser so I still think he has a big role in the arc. Maybe not a villain, but still a big role.

Things that will more than likely happen:
All characters except Goku (and maybe Vegeta) will lose easily from their fights or back out.
The other Gods of Destruction are "seen but not heard".
We will only see a small handful of characters from other universes because of *REASONS*
Trunks, Goten will remain the same size and appearance
