Why i prefer Tenshinhan more than Yamcha,Goten or Kid Trunks in the Tournament...

Goten and Kid Trunks suck, I'm glad they won't really be involved. It was one of the reasons what made Resurrection F so good because they weren't in it for once.

Honestly as they are currently Goten and Trunks aren't very exciting characters, at least to me.

They really need an arc or two to develop rather than just "be kids". Trunks has made a start, but Goten needs something other than "Is nice, likes Trunks and Gohan, is a kid"

Yamcha missing is a disappointment. I honestly want to see him combine baseball techniques with his martial arts after that episode now.

I was hoping since the kids aren't participating, they'd stay on earth since they're all that's left to protect it (And Yamcha). That has some potential for a decent side story for the boys.
Also, I say this assuming everyone not participating won't be spectators of the tourney. They very well may be.

Their fight against each other, Goten begging trunks to fuse with him to protect Gohan, and Gotenks are some of my favorite parts in the whole series. They are better as a pair though. I wouldn't want kid trunks getting attention without Goten or the other way around.

Agreed. I could understand the reason to not use a random alien warrior, they have enough designs to do, and the fans want to see their old favorites in action. But Yamcha should be the chosen as the tenth fighter. I can more or less believe that he's around a namekian warrior in terms of power level, and he has more unique techniques than Roshi, that can only buff up and throw a kamehame like everyone else.

They were great during the Buu saga, but without a little grow up they don't have too much to offer. Goten especially could use some development as an individual character.

I do prefer Tien and Roshi over them.
Tien is a very good fighter. He is waaaay more skilled than the Kids. He just need something to increase his power. And so Kuririn and Roshi.

That is probably the exact reason Trunks and Goten are not in the team, which is good. Toriyama and Toei can do a lot of things during fights with the other characters due to the various skills and techniques thave can use.

I love Goten and Kid Trunks. They stepped up to fight the greatest threat the world had seen as mere kids. Win or lose that was impressive.

Definitely see where you're coming from. The kids don't really have any unique techniques as far as ki blasts and actual martial arts style is concerned. Though I would prefer Yamcha over Roshi 100%, it just is not believable that he can compete in any fight past the original Dragonball days. And Gotenks had become somewhat of a gag character who for some reason is not taken seriously it seems.

Who cares about a duo that are only ever fighting by fusion and not even trying to get stronger..
They have what they got gifted by, if you have that much power and you didn't work for it a person far less powerful can beat you because he worked for it, he knows what he achieved, how and can use it in the best way..
See Gohan for example, he got beat by buu who he should have killed immediately.. He didn't even know how to use his powers, never really worked for ultimate and got beat by buu who is as old as universe and knows how to use his version of powers to fullest..

He even fared so very poor against berrus it's laughable, he was at least as strong to be between Vegeta and rageta..
And what did he do? Got blown away by Mr buu thrown at him and got his ribs cracked inside in the movie..

Totally agree with you. Tenshinhan is one of the best characters in the franchise. I hope to see him use a new power up that his body is capable to handle. Furthermore, he fights like a true martial artist and he has that rage inside him ready to be unleashed given an opportunity.

Yeah, I agree completely with this. He was Goku's first REAL rival imo. Kuririn and Yamcha weren't ever as strong as Goku, but always a fair bit weaker.

It's too bad he couldn't close the gap between them. Even Kuririn is stronger than him now. ( )

Did you not watch the 21st Budokai? Roshi's repertoire of attacks is at least as large, if not bigger, than every other fighter in the series.
