Tien's talent is reasonably high, and with constant training he is sure to have made big power gains. I wouldn't put him about 50 million though. 10 million or something seems like the highest place he could get to with regular training methods.

Ah man that Gotenks line brought me back to the old Toonami promos. Love it. They're trally underrated, I just wish Super would age them because there's even more potential with them as teens in my opinionGodKaio-Ken wrote:That first correct fusion! I love Goten and Kid Trunks. They stepped up to fight the greatest threat the world had seen as mere kids. Win or lose that was impressive.

Outside of fan service, there is no reason, as of yet, why any of the human cast was chosen over Goten and Trunks. Even without fusions, Goten and Trunks are stronger than all the pure human characters. As Super Saiyans, they maybe stronger than the androids.ChaosLordBrandon wrote:Do people really want 5 Saiyans on a 10 man team? I would not pick Goten or Trunks while the chosen 10 are available simply because I feel they woud not handle the pressure or be skiled enough.HeroR wrote:Outside of fan service, there is no reason, as of yet, why any of the human cast was chosen over Goten and Trunks. Are you sure Kuririn is stronger now? In the anime, Kuririn said that he doesn't fight anymore that basically he has quitted fighting when Yamcha tells him to fight Beerus. Maybe i'm wrong, i don't recall exactly.DBZ Macky wrote:Yeah, I agree completely with this. He was Goku's first REAL rival imo. It's too bad he couldn't close the gap between them. Even Kuririn is stronger than him now. ()
Re: Why i prefer Tenshinhan more than Yamcha,Goten or Kid Trunks in the Tournament...
That is a lousy excuse since we have seen Goten and Trunks handle pressure just fine, especially since they're both teenagers, and skill means almost nothing if you don't have power back it up. The entire human cast should tell you that when they got butchered by Nappa despite being far more skilled than him. At very least, Roshi shouldn't be nowhere near this lineup unless there is a extremely good reason for it.namekiansaiyan wrote:

Krillin is called the strongest human in and out universe by Toriyama.Shinda Forever wrote:

Tenshinhan is weaker than Kuririn, and the latter seemed nervous at the prospect of facing Goten and Trunks at the 25th TB (Despite knowing the no-Super Saiyan rule.) Ergo, Ten is even weaker than base Goten/Trunks, and since no base Saiyan (Before BoG) had surpassed Freeza (Pre Training), that would also mean that he's weaker than Android #18 and #17.The gr wrote:I got questions regarding this topic how strong is tien when compared to Goten trunks and the Android because he been training non stop

Krillin being nervous is not a reliable indicator. He was afraid of Freeza's thugs in the "Resurection of F" arc, yet he was able to wipe them out effortlessly.Khin wrote:Tenshinhan is weaker than Kuririn, and the latter seemed nervous at the prospect of facing Goten and Trunks at the 25th TB (Despite knowing the no-Super Saiyan rule.) Sorry, I don't buy your argument; IIRC Freeza was only known in the Northern Galaxy, and humans are refered as "weak" even in the Jaco manga. It's not unreasonable to assume that more powerful warriors may exists along the universe. Anyway, my point was that Yamcha would be a better option than Roshi (from a fan-service standpoint and from a power-level one). Do we agree on this?Saturnine wrote:There is no one in the entire universe more fit to fight than the Earthlings. Agreed. I could understand the reason to not use a random alien warrior, they have enough designs to do, and the fans want to see their old favorites in action. But Yamcha should be the chosen as the tenth fighter. I can more or less believe that he's around a namekian warrior in terms of power level, and he has more unique techniques than Roshi, that can only buff up and throw a kamehame like everyone else.

Roshi never fought in the 21th Budokai, are you talking about Jackie Chung?. Seriously, you made a good point, I don't have that part of the series fresh on my mind.Kamiccolo9 wrote: Did you not watch the 21st Budokai? I'm aware that Roshi had better luck with tournaments than Yamcha. In fact, I think that might be Yamcha's reason to step aside. Still, with both retired I believe it would make more sense to have the younger, stronger one taking a step forward.

Freeza wasn't just well Northern Galaxy. Where did you get that. The Supreme Kai, who was ignorance of everything about the Saiyans and Earth, knew about Freeza and reference him as a powerful being when talking about Majin Buu, namely about how the Supreme Kais were much stronger than Freeza and got wiped by Buu. Beerus also knew of Freeza and was shocked that someone managed to beat him. Unless you think both Beerus and the Supreme Kai only knows about the Northern Galaxy's powerful fighters, Freeza was the strongest mortal until Goku went Super Saiyan.Majin Jator wrote:Krillin being nervous is not a reliable indicator. That's more of the fact that Kuririn suffered great trauma against Freeza, and thus lost his confidence. In the 25th TB, Kuririn has no reason to be relieved at hearing that Goten and Trunks will fight in the junior division, especially since he showed no signs of losing his confidence prior.Majin Jator wrote:Krillin being nervous is not a reliable indicator. Not everyone who will fight in the tournament will be super strong. Otherwise, everyone not named Goku and Vegeta is pretty much worthless. I'm sure there's going to be guys there that is going to be on the same level as Tenshinhan and Kuririn, and he have the Kikoho too.The gr wrote:Dang that's crazy that tien is training for nothing like seriously I could have swore he gotten stronger than krillin and the Android so that mean he's pointless

For some strange reason people seem to think everybody at the tournament is gonna be Vegeta and Goku level.
Aka God Tier level.
This has never been the case in any arc or tournament in any franchise I have watch or read before in my life.

Yeah he could destroy the ring with a shin kikoho like he did in the 22 Budokai that seem like a possible way to win or he could use old school technique like dodonpa multi arm etc and I'm hoping this tournament will have a tag battle format to have piccolo and krillin win the final battleKhin wrote:That's more of the fact that Kuririn suffered great trauma against Freeza, and thus lost his confidence. For some even stranger reason people keep saying this as if the god level is when suddenly characters like Krillin and Tien could no longer compete. With our current knowledge, It would be generous to say they could handle second form Freeza.ChaosLordBrandon wrote: This to seriously.

Thank you. There is a huge gap between Roshi and Goku's base form. Even as a huge Yamcha fan, I would put Tenshinhan in over him, since Tenshinhan is stronger and Kikoho is my favorite attack in DBZ.
But Roshi over Yamcha is a huge crime. People argue that Roshi is more unique, but I feel like Krillin can do most of what Roshi can. At least Yamcha has a much more different fighting style, and cool attacks like the Sokidan. I'd prefer the Sokidan over Buff Kamehameha spam any day.

Turtle Hermit possesses roughly ten unique techniques compared to Yamcha's one inherited and two unique techniques.Majin Jator wrote:I can more or less believe that he's around a namekian warrior in terms of power level, and he has more unique techniques than Roshi, that can only buff up and throw a kamehame like everyone else.
There's more to martial arts training than simply becoming stronger. It's a road that involves tuning one's mind and lifestyle, as well. Tenshinhan represents the philosophy as tightly as anyone else on Dragon Team, I feel. Would most of those techniques even work against stronger fighters? We only seen them in action against Kid Goku, who was about even with Roshi. Roshi didn't even try most of these techniques against Old King Piccolo. He went straight for the Evil Containment Wave he had to prepare ahead of time and he didn't even want to used it. He also stood away from the Saiyan conflict when Nappa and Vegeta arrived, saying how they had no place there.Nejishiki wrote:Turtle Hermit possesses roughly ten unique techniques compared to Yamcha's one inherited and two unique techniques.Majin Jator wrote:I can more or less believe that he's around a namekian warrior in terms of power level, and he has more unique techniques than Roshi, that can only buff up and throw a kamehame like everyone else. There's more to martial arts training than simply becoming stronger. At least with Yamcha's techniques, we've seen them in action against a superior opponent.

Re: Why i prefer Tenshinhan more than Yamcha,Goten or Kid Trunks in the Tournament...
We'll find out soon enough! I don't possess any reliable method of confirming your inquiry. I was mostly addressing the text which implied Yamcha had more unique techniques than Turtle Hermit. That's not really accurate, to say the least. With Piccolo, he already tangled with him in the past, convinced Mafuba was his only option. Goku flatly denied his help against Raditz. From there, Turtle Hermit conversed and planned with Dragon Team enough during the course of Vegeta and Nappa's upcoming arrival to wisely leave the Saiyans to his students instead. All things considered, time has passed and stances have changed. I witnessed one member suggest he assisted Kuririn while he was training at his home. You never know with the old invincible master. He did manage to make his bulked power suitable for hand-to-hand, after all. He wasn't able to do anything but a charged Kamehameha with it in the past.HeroR wrote:Would most of those techniques even work against stronger fighters?
