That's another thing entirely, that's just Goku being an idiot, not him endangering the universe on purpose. He was clearly not endangering it on purpose.
He's clearly trading blows with Beerus to test out if he can nullify the effects when there's no reason for him to, he's just doing it test himself against Beerus when he can simply dodge the attacks if he's really so concerned about civilian casualties.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

It depends, is Goku, son Goku, the man who *constantly* and recklessly endangers lives, even managing to kill everyone on earth, as of the case with Majin buu, for the sole reason to sate his fighting boner.

worthy of holding the hammer of thor

Goku wasn't responsible for Boo killing everyone on Earth. He already passed on by that point.

It was 'kinda' his fault ,for letting the threat of Buu escalate so far when he had the means to stop him early on, so in a way Goku was responsible for the destruction of humanity

I'm not really sure about that. Blame Goku how you will while he's present but the situation was out of his hands during that moment. Despite Piccolo offering the humans' lives for Boo's entertainment, I don't want to place exclusive blame on him either. He attempted to make best out of an awful scenario. At the end of the road, Boo decided to kill everyone to get a match going with Gotenks. He had the capability to choose not to all the same & remain patient. It feels devoid of context to paint it black & white like that.

Vegeta has a better chance of lifting Mjolnir than Goku does. Remember, we're dealing with an ancient Viking god's concept of "worthy," not an enlightened 21st century interpretation of the term. Vegeta exhibits more traits deemed admirable to Viking warriors than Goku does.

Blaming Goku instead of Buu? Instead of Babidi? Instead of Majin Vegeta?

The hammer doesn't seem to following Viking standards, it is more or less completely arbitrary in what it deems "worthy". How is Vegeta more like, say, that random paramedic than Goku is?

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Counterpoint video? There's plenty of opinions here on why Goku shouldn't be able to do it.

I think the problem with all of this talk of worthy and unworthy, is that we don't have any rules on what the hammer considers worthy. So it is all literal guess work, that what makes it so hard to guess wherever or not some one like Goku is worthy.
