Let's also not pretend that the arc didn't have problems and it didn't started to suffer once it started doing full action episodes.
I don't think it suffered from full action episodes, actually these are the ones I enjoyed the most. IMO this arc, despite flaws I am certainly not denying, has shown Super can do a great job with fireworks and let's not kid ourselves, we like fireworks lol
You clearly said "Super should do what it's good for and that's without question SoL", maybe you didn't mean it like that but for me I clearly hear you think it should do exclusively SoL eps, which I disagree with as I consider both elements to be crucial pillars of this series.
Your statement also heavily implies that SoL eps are the only good thing Super has managed to do right, which I also disagree with as you could see in my first point.

Yes I'm watching them.
I think the u6 and future trunks arc are based on toriyama outline
but yeah I'm watching them because filler and Sol is the best thing about super

Technicaly Toriyama's outline is the source material.
No need to get into the hole of super being all canon so there can't possibly be any filler..
Yes, we can't pretend copy Vegeta never happened, but we are fully capable of understanding what are the main stories, toie themselves announce it
The Lord moves in mysterious ways but you don't have to. Please use your blinker
Yep. The filler episodes of Super have been mostly consistently good and arguably Super's strongest attribute.

I'm expecting these to be better than the next arc. I've enjoyed the fillers more than every other episode of Super save for the majority of the Future Trunks arc.
Merged Zamasu wrote:I'm rewatching the entire Future Trunks Arc. I am saddened by the wasted potential of Merged Zamasu. They should have kept his glorious and shining form that we saw in Episode 65. But nooo, we clearly needed yet another Broly clone.
Yeah he was pretty wasted, but I kind of saw it coming when he transformed. Dragon Ball has a bad habit of having sort-lived forms like Super 17, who was only in five episodes of GT yet has an entire arc named after him.

The Super No. 17 arc is 7 episodes. With the titular antagonist appearing in its 4th episode & lasting for 4 episodes, he's featured for 57% of the arc. Alone, that seems to be "barely more than half" of the arc but being absent for 3 episodes isn't too bad, I think. It was buildup, if I remember that correctly. The rest of the arc is dedicated towards fighting him. Whether or not 3 episodes were necessary to establish Super No. 17 is another conversation.

My problem is with the arc being short and his appearances being short. Cell was 50 episodes and Buu was about the same off the top of my head. Super 17 wasn't even a fifth of that.
As long as they make the universal survival arc good and long then I wont care for these episodes. The only good filler episodes are 42 and 70 . Episode 76 might be good only becuase Krillin is involved.
Overall January 2017 is going to be a crap month based on the summaries and so will episode 77 in February.
The upcoming "filler" episodes sound like they're going to be pretty good, especially the one with
Goku and Krillin training together and encountering all of their old enemies.
That's actually the one I'm least looking forward to. My interest is more in the Gohan episode, I'm hoping it'll be hilarious and productive.

I personally can't wait for EP77. Purely for Vegeta's reactions to Bulma being pregnant. It also like a barrel of laughs with a crowning moment of heartwarming.

That's my #2, but I doubt it'll last all episode since that's supposed to be the beginning of the Survival Arc. Or am I mistaken?

Yes. The Universal Survival arc will be underway by the time that episode airs.

I don't think Toriyama has written the "fillers", either.
