"Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
To everyone saying we can't compare a weekly manga to a monthly one, why not? They both use pages and contrary to counting chapters, this method equalizes them. Unless monthly mangas use bigger/smaller page sizes. Do they?
Regarding the manga is playing catch up argument. That's exactly what this intends to show, if that's the case it will appear on the numbers.
To demonstrate:
BoG Arc:: Note that contrary to the Future Trunks Arc, this arc has an average of 16 pages, roughly the same as the original manga. One chapter equals one from the original manga.
Manga- 4 chapters
Anime - 14 episodes
0,28/1
We all know this arc was rushed and the numbers show it. I'm not saying this method is perfect but it paints a picture, where with a certain degree of certainty we can say if the manga is rushed or not, based on the original manga and it's relationship to Dragon Ball Z.
The whole point of these numbers is to shut down the distortion that the manga is a bunch of bullet points. I really don't like to see comments saying that the kart racing took half a chapter when in truth it was six pages, less than 15% of the chapter in question.
I hate this use of rhetoric to criticize anything at all. Distorting facts is not OK in my book. Either your critics and compliments are fair or they aren't, when there's evidence to make conclusions.

If I'm not mistaken, Gowasu was referring to Future Trunks' activity (through audience assumption) in the general past. With the details we're provided, Future Trunks' return to the alternate past failed to create another parallel world in the Future Trunks arc. He successfully meets the same Goku he befriended in the Artificial Humans arc after departing in his time machine. That's the evidence you probably desire to confirm the idea. Beerus & Whis are responsible for creating additional Time Rings in the anime continuity of Dragon Ball Super. Dragon Ball Super's manga continuity has yet to name culprits for materializing Time Rings (with the exception of a Universe 12 human and "someone" in the recent past, of course).prince212 wrote:Thanks for your answer , you said that beerus and whis created a new time-split instead of trunks coming back to past .. but they showed a new time ring before beerus killed zamasu ..

Where is the link to this controversial chapter that 'supposedly' ruined Black Goku.

thanks . i still can´t see how beerus and whis created a new parallel ring ( is that in the anime ?) the link i tried to post (manga17 page9) showed the moment in the manga where gowasu discover a new ring world recently created right after trunks coming back to the past to tell about black goku and that is before beerus hakaing zamasu .....Nejishiki wrote:If I'm not mistaken, Gowasu was referring to Future Trunks' activity (through audience assumption) in the general past. also the fact that trunks travell back to the same timeline doesn´t implies no new parallel world is created , every trip to the past create a new parallel world
but you are right , manga didn´t name the rings , just the first one , so who knows

It's not hard to find for yourself, we can't link you to the actual chapter here.Gog wrote:Where is the link to this controversial chapter that 'supposedly' ruined Black Goku.

So you guys think is highly possible that vegito appears in the next DB super manga chapter

It really depends on how compact the chapter is. In theory, Vegetto could be skipped over and you still have the same story. The gr wrote:So you guys think is highly possible that vegito appears in the next DB super manga chapter

I would like for him to appear, have a longer flight and actually achieve something if possibleThe gr wrote:So you guys think is highly possible that vegito appears in the next DB super manga chapter
The Lord moves in mysterious ways but you don't have to. Please use your blinker
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I have a weird feeling that chapter 20 or 21 is going to be the final chapter in the future trunks arc and is going to have 40 or more pages and super Saiyan rage and super Saiyan rose is going to appear in one of them

I would prefer Gogeta, just for the sake of the manga keep trying being different than the animeThe gr wrote:So you guys think is highly possible that vegito appears in the next DB super manga chapter

More than SSJ2 Vegeta having managed to overpower SSJ Black? I doubt it. Everything by this point can just be added for the fun.The gr wrote:But the fandom is going to whine and complain about that even though that idea sounds creative
What I like about Gogeta vs. Merged Zamasu that is actually a Fusion made by the technique of the mortals vs. Fusion made by God artifact (Potara)

dang that really sounds like a cool idea but but I want a reason why there not going to use potara and we also need super Saiyan rose in the next chapterNoah wrote:More than SSJ2 Vegeta having managed to overpower SSJ Black? I think Vegetto will probably show up. I mean, Merged Zamasu pretty much has to happen, and if we're going to have one fusion, Vegetto is just too easy. As for whether I want him, well, I actually don't care one way or another.

With the anime, Beerus created another parallel world when he destroyed Zamasu. Whis created another parallel world for Future Trunks & Future Mai later. In the manga, Gowasu was surprised four Time Rings existed since last he checked. There's no reference for how long "last time" was. By virtue of Future Trunks keeping his time machine settings static & informing Future Mai that he wouldn't be able to return to Goku's era if he altered said settings indicates that he travels the same pathway to the alternate past each time as he did in his last trip.prince212 wrote:thanks . i still can´t see how beerus and whis created a new parallel ring ( is that in the anime ?) the link i tried to post (manga17 page9) showed the moment in the manga where gowasu discover a new ring world recently created right after trunks coming back to the past to tell about black goku and that is before beerus hakaing zamasu .....

In the Artificial Humans arc, new parallel worlds were created when Future Trunks traveled into the past, Future Cell traveled into another past, & another Future Trunks was mirrored to reflect "future" time travel trips established in history. However, in the same arc, whenever Future Trunks travels the same pathway back & forth between the alternate future & past, he's failed to create another parallel world. That's evidence that not all alternate trips to the past create new parallel worlds. Now that he's properly informed, he avoids the process of creating additional parallel worlds.

Highly doubt they'll complain. The majority hate the Potara retcon and wouldn't mind if Gogeta appeared and got defused due to using too much ki.The gr wrote:But the fandom is going to whine and complain about that even though that idea sounds creativeNoah wrote:I would prefer Gogeta, just for the sake of the manga keep trying being different than the animeThe gr wrote:So you guys think is highly possible that vegito appears in the next DB super manga chapter

I 100% guarantee Gogeta won't happen. It would be such a pointless change, all just to canonize a (non-)character because people like the way he looks. If Gogeta happens in the manga, I will make a GIF of myself eating a shoe, and post it as my avatar. That's how confident I am that it won't happen.OLKv3 wrote:Highly doubt they'll complain. Not at all. With Gogeta, the story wouldn't feel so far-fetched. Kaioshin of East has nothing to do with the whole scheme so he shouldn't be around. Therefore, fusion dance was the only available way to merge Goku and Vegeta. But we all knew what was coming since Kaioshin of East was around.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:all just to canonize a (non-)character because people like the way he looks.
Gogeta probably wouldn't have any retcon, since Fusion has already a time limit, using a full power Big Bang Kamehameha and then getting defused would be more acceptable than what happened in the series (let's remember that even a punch from Hirudegarn was able to defuse Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks).
Vegetto's appearance was forced as hell but almost useless, as he used Final Kamehameha, and that was dope. Maybe Vegenks would be cool to see, that would make Toei/Toriyama to leave out from the "comfort zone" for a change.

You know they can just used Gowasu's earring. Plus, Vegeta doesn't know the Fusion Dance in the original manga and what makes you think they would get it right the first time since Vegeta never did it?
It also wasn't force since Goku and Vegeta defused for no reason in the Buu Saga with only Goku's guess that it was bad air.
