once again, Goku's line on how "he wants to keep training to em all safe" stands out way too much..
Guess they are going with the hero goku portrayal once again..
Then there's berrus who is searching"for the ultimate fighter" and with goku powering up to SS being the next scene ( which looks epic as hell by the way ) also sounds way too different..
Then there are the sound tracks..

Positive this is going to turn out to be a near completely different show and hopefully in a good way

Think you're looking way too much into a few nothing lines. It won't be a different show, I'm thinking it'll be more like Cell Era Kai.

Think you're looking way too much into a few nothing lines. It won't be a different show, I'm thinking it'll be more like Cell Era Kai.

Goku was always portrayed as a hero kinda guy in the dub, it isn't much of a stretch to say this time will be the same at least a similar approach..
They did get close to the original in their latest dubs, but the hero aspect was still there..
I want some lines to actually be changed to make goku look less of a retard..

I don't like this idea going around that he wasn't portrayed as a hero in the original, it's entirely false. Goku has always been heroic in every single version of the story. The worst you can say is that he engages in risky behavior to test himself pretty regularly.

But the dub portrayed him as a complete hero, with no grasp "elements of poison"..

That was in the original dub. In all other dubs, including BOG and Resurrection 'F', Goku is portrayed closer to his Japanese counterpart. Even then, heroic Goku was toned down in the original dub of the Buu Saga.

I'm anxious to see more on the new arc. These fillers are nice and all, but none are gonna top the baseball episode anyway. I hope the two filler episodes we don't have titles for yet lead into the arc somehow. Maybe make them about 17 or the other fighters and what they've been up to or something.

Yeah it's really a none issue now. He was a selfish jerk to King Kai in that dub clip and was pretty 1:1 with the Japanese.

I don't know where he got this quote and don't feel like going through the pages, would you mind telling why it needs to do good..

Basicaly, Japan are aware how insanely popular Broly is overseas compared to Japan, so if Super doesn't well overseas then they may well pull some shenanigans... Am I overreacting maybe lol. But regardless of that information Super doing well would generally be good for everyone.

I'm not sure how much Toei will pay attention to simulcast numbers but I'm sure that'll help too, as that's the only way for us in the UK to support the show until FUNi/Manga/Madman release it on HV with sub/dub.

Personally, I like it. I was always more a fan of Hero Goku, so I'm a bit happy that FUNi might be going with that.

I think it sounds OK. It should be mentioned that Kara Edwards (Goten's FUNi VA) mentioned at a convention in either England or Australia that voicing Goten back in 2001-2003 was MURDER on her throat, so her new take that we're hearing now is what she wants to go with for Kai's Majin Buu arc and Super. Not to mention, the future of DB as a whole.

Actually, I think that girl in the NEP IS the exact girl Barry will be using for that honey pot thing against Gohan, and the reason it fails is because Videl decides to interfere.

On Hero Goku I think it's more of a "yeah I fight because I love fighting, but I'll say to protect everyone to keep from looking like an ass" type of deal. Plus it's a great excuse to get away from Chi-Chi.
