As that clip was taken down, can someone post a screenshot or clip? Just want to see how bad it looks. (Ironic, I'm making fun of this release, yet I'll buy the sets AT LEAST up to the Buu-saga...)
Here's the screen cap of that scene <^_^>

Also another scene I noticed freaked me out yesterday when I watched episode 61 with the lights turned off.

It happened when Krilliun told Gohan to stop because Vegeta was coming and when Gohan saw the image of Vegeta in his mind the frames flashed so fast that the hologram itself fell apart litrally which scared the hell out of me, not to mention Gohan's outlines aswell <´Д`>

Holy shit.

That's like ten times worse than the Nappa scene from the first set. How can people not notice this crap?

Might I add that the first shot looks like a screenshot of an old fansub tape. Fantastic quality there, Funimation.

My god, they're disintegrating...

I have an even worse looking shot than those, I'll probably post it up tonight.

Dear God, that shot of Vegeta is the worse case of the season sets' quality I've seen yet (if Corey or someone else doesn't make a "trailer" mocking these shots by now, I'll be in shock); so much for these prints being in tiptop condition, eh? Heya people, see my sig'? This is just ridiculous, the cropping I could actually live with, but the amount of detail loss (that's increasing no less) is ridiculous beyond reason. I would've much rather lived with FUNi's filtered digi-beta 4:3 format (if in the same DVD release deal) than this horse shit. All that this "remastering" is doing is urinating all over how this show is originally intended to be seen, never-mind the cropping cutting off precious amounts of intended-to-be-seen footage on the top and bottom of the screen.

FUNimation, word of advice, this is NOT how the series is meant to be seen (not even by yourselves, since you originally released and dubbed this show in 4:3). There ARE compromises -- more than you know, you also need to start listening to the fans (as well as ask of our opinions months before these releases come out) rather than turning your tail and omitting facts about the wide-screen from new trailers. Get a fucking clue, you false advertising bastards.

Princess, many thanks and much love from all of us for sharing the pics. Alongside your vid that FUNi removed (basically proving they're fully aware of the negative consequences of their remastering and don't give a damn), a lot of us who only noticed a few glitches in the first season are now much more aware on a whole new ball park about this mess. Kudos~!

I think they removed her "vid" because it was the second half of a fucking episode. :P

Heh, it really does look like a washed out old VHS recording, except for the missing outlines, not even a 20 year old VHS tape would do that. :P
Check out the piece of paper on the left. God, that's bad...

Terms of use violation. FUNimation did not give their permission to preview that video on YouTube.

Good god, when compared to the Dragon Box, that's just disgusting.

But why do I have the feeling it's gonna get worse as the other seasons get released?

I actually had to spell check it in Yahoo by typing it in and cutting and pasting that spelling from a site...

BUT ONLY FOR THAT PURPOSE!

Wow these sets do seem horrible. I am trying to be optimistic about them but I just can't help but want to buy the DragonBox singles now. If I get like $1000 for my graduation present I'd mabye get some of them but I don't know it it'd be worth it. I don't speak Japanese :( but the sets seem soo worth it. Anyway, I wish Funi would get their stuff together and give DBZ a good release already. I mean, One Piece is gonna be getting a wonderful release but DBZ still gets the crap releases.

Seriously-- when a dusty, seventh generation fansub tape has more detail than the "legitimate" product, you know there's something wrong. :?

I would love to see how the Pioneer disc of that episode stacks up in comparision.

The sad truth about this and certainly the most grevious is this: After they sell the box sets they will sell this as "Spanish remastered DVDs". That is if they ever finish season 1 of their Mexican Spanish series...and it shall be in widescreen...

There have also been various shots of Burter (or Butta if you wish) with his head chopped off or very well near it. I guess there's a down side to being the tallest of the Ginyu Force :(...

And yeah, those previously posted screen shots are awful. Someone should put 'em up on amazon to convince the rest of the world.

I'm afraid to look up the term, what's "bukakki" mean?

Those are really disappointing screenshots.
Why, Funi?! Why?
