Eh, don't feel like signing up for a forum just so I can look at it. But it's good news anyways. I just wish they would go ahead and re-release the Pilaf saga.

Well, I left a message asking about an update regarding that. I'll paste it over here if anything comes up

Um, could anyone quote that animeondvd post? Not everyone is registered at their forums, you know.

Anyway, this is great news, although it really should've been released earlier. Goku VS Tenshinhan is one of my favourite battles in the entire series.

Ah well, I still don't have all the DBZ DVDs, so I'll have something to keep me busy until FUNi releases this and the season 1 and 2 redub. (actually, screw the redub, I just want the original,)

Thats another question, will the DBZ redub be bilingual? It seems it will due to the trend of FUNi's releases

Almost absolutely definantly bilingual. No reason for it not to be.

Exactly. Are you using a different definition of "trend" here, Sun_Wokong? One that means "every single DVD they have ever released"?
Romana: "I don't think we should interfere."
Doctor: "Interfere? Of course we should interfere! Always do what you're best at, that's what I say."

Tein Shinhan Saga Set will be available September 28th. SRP: $39.98
Don't have an episode count with me at the moment.
And he also wrote
Great Saiyaman will come out right after Cell Games is over.
Sure, it's no uncut Saiyan/Namek or Pilaf Saga, but its news NONE THE LESS.

I hope the episode count is eighteen, seeing as how Baba ended with 083, and Piccolo started with 102.

I will now dance for joy at knowing a release date for my favorite episodes in the entire series.

The ep count must be 18... 84 to 101 I believe, unless FUNimation wants to leave one out and then advertise the LOST EPISODE OF DRAGONBALL!!!!1111 DUDZORZ!
"Chrysanthemums will wither together with its leaves, lying beside the fiery eyes soaked with blood. Even then, your sublime status will never be shaken, even if only half of your limbs will remain. To increase the fascination within the drama, should the search for a new partner begin? If so, then head to the east. You will definitely meet the one who is waiting for you."

Or they'll decide to be assholes, and release two sets, each with 9 episodes.

Which is doubtful, as the Red Ribbon Army set had 17 episodes.

I thought I'd take this time to mention one thing that's been pissing me off... forever. The RR Army set had 17 episodes. Would it have KILLED FUNi to have had, like 4 sets of 16 eps each for GT, since it's not as popular and a lot of people think it blows? I think more people would be inclined to buy a semi-mediocre series if it was in bulk. Hell, even 8 sets of 8 eps each would satisfy me. Plus the Special, so that's be only 9 DVDs (Or better yet, only 5 if they did it the first way).

But no. They didn't even have the sense to go 4,4,4,4 for the 'lost' eps... they go 3,3,3,3,4... Once again, cash overrules common sense with FUNi.

And... really... when they re-release the Saiyan and Namek sagas, they should put at least 6 or 7 per disc, since we've all seen them anyway. People aren't gonna wanna shell out the 20+ bucks for what they've essentially already seen.

I went OT. Sorry. :-P

Because they wanted GT to be as popular as they could, as it was technically the last dying legs of the franchise to hit TV. You milk it for all it's worth.

And it's not like the super hardcore DB fanbase decide how a series goes or not. GT might be terrible, but there's a lot of kids and people who watch Cartoon Network and what not to still be interested, since they haven't seen it before.

Money and Common Sense kinda go in hand, because they're still trying to make as much profit as they can.

And with re-releasing the Saiyan/Namek parts, the point of releasing them is because none of us have seen them, atleast, not in a whole. Though, no announcement has been made on how many episodes they will be spread out on.

I know, Tablet, I'm just... I dunno, money is important to them, but it is to ME too! It's tough on my wallet the way they do stuff.

I'm just bitching. Ignore me.

I say yay or nay. 3 reasons, the dub, the BGM, the OPs and EDs, and absolutley no changing the characters names!!! Ok so thats four.

As for DBZ Seasons 1 and 2, if they dont release em in box sets, ie King Piccolo saga, somebodys going hunting *loads gun*

Way. As in, either way. As long as I've still got the manga.

I thought that that was just a rumour that hasn't yet been confirmed? Don't care either since I also read the manga, except it's got an awesome soundtrack, especially L'Arc en Ciel's "Ready, Steady, Go".
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

As long as we get bilingual DVDs, I don't care who get it.
