Maybe they're waiting for the 11:30pm version to finish airing to publish it though.

Wow. Blown away, and in a good way. FUNimation's dub of the first episode of Super was freakin' awesome!!!

Every single actor, both from the original cast and from the replacement cast, were on their A-game. I don't know how accurate the script was since I can't turn the subitltes on for the Japanese version, but I suspect it's probably in line with how FUNimation usually adapts Dragon Ball nowadays: very accurate, with only a few, inconsequential changes (most of which were done to fit the lip flaps anyway). I'm a little bummed about the songs not being dubbed, but everything else about the first episode made up for that and then some. I'm really psyched to hear more!

I feel that the script was mostly accurate but there was one major discrepancy I found between the subbed and the dubbed and unfortunately, it revolves around "Superman Goku".

In the original, when Goku talks about training for future threats, it's all centered around simply preparing for the future.

In the FUNi version, he mentions how he has to keep training to keep his loved ones safe.

In the grand scheme of things, it's pretty much inconsequential but I'd rather they never bothered having that line at all

Honestly really glad they didn't
I can never really stand songs dubbed into english by their native-speaking japanese singers
And I mean no offense to the singers by that, it just hits my ear wrong
I'd rather either get the song dubbed into english by someone who speaks it fluently or left in japanese
