Never heard of Cedric Biscay before but by doing a little research it seems he should have the necessary connections to get such information. This makes it possible that it's true. Wish it wasn't though... This saddens me greatly.

Wait, is that a joke or does Toriyama really smoke?

He did said he smoke up to about 3 packs of cigarette a day in the Dragon Ball: Adventure Special interview (in the Akira Toriyama Corner section). The stuff with the tobacco is from 1985 Weekly Jump where he said he was told to cut it down I think. However, those interviews happened two decades ago so I don't know if he still do these days. There's probably another interview I can't recall though, but I'm not sure.

In any case, I really hope its nothing too serious and everything's fine—assuming the source of this is legit.
